240w ago - The 25th Anniversary Tour for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is traveling across the country right now, and reports are rolling in from those lucky enough to stop by one of the locations that a remake of Turtles in Time is currently in development.
To quote: The Alpha build of the game is being demoed on the Xbox 360 throughout the tour, but we're getting reports it could possibly makes its way to PSN and WiiWare as well, though there is no confirmation of that right now. One of our tipsters pointed us to the Twitter account for Hyperfludd (who stopped by and snagged some pics), but we've also found other sources confirming this game's existence.
Turtles in Time is arguably the best Turtles game ever, so remaking it is definitely a smart idea. Kind of like putting peanut butter on pizza.
267w ago - The advertisement (pictured below) which can be found in the Japanese Magazine "DeGenki PlayStation" this morning states the following:
"CLOUD MESSAGE... Coming Soon"
But what can that "CLOUD Message" be exactly?
Can it be hiding an announcement of a much-anticipated Final Fantasy 7 remake, or just a delayed promotion for Advent Children Complete which will be released next March in Japan (with a Final Fantasy XIII demo, and an exclusive Pack including the Blu-ray film and a PlayStation 3).
One has to wonder, who is the best person to announce such a remake.. Cloud, don't you think?
275w ago - TimeSplitters 4 details have been few and far between since its official reveal, but the folks at PSM3 (PlayStation 3 Magazine) have snagged a few details on the upcoming shooter.
According to Derek Littlewood of Free Radical, TimeSplitters 4 won't utilize the heavily-criticized Haze graphics engine. Instead, Free Radical opted for some "new and double shiny tech."
While this all sounds good, the game is still early on in the development cycle, and won't see the light of day for a while. What may come a bit sooner, if PSM3 is to be believed, is a TimeSplitters 2 remake in HD, which would most likely be released on the PlayStation Network.
It would certainly get folks excited about the new TimeSplitters, that's for sure.
307w ago - You've gotta hand it to the folks at Capcom, they've done gone and gotten us excited about Bionic Commando again. No, not the big-budget remake featuring Nathan (née Radd) Spencer (we're still not sold on that one), we're talking about the 2D remake bound for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, revealed today by IGN to be Bionic Commando Rearmed.
Just tossing an HD upgrade of the game onto either service wouldn't have piqued our interest quite the same way this reimagining has. Terrorists in this Bionic Commando?
Nope, Hitler Master D and the Badds are back. Fancy three-dee graphics? Well, yes, but with that same old 2D gameplay you remember. Check out the video to watch Radd do his swing-thing in motion.
