277w ago - SCE has revealed that the producer of LittleBigPlanet wrongly told journalists that LittleBigPlanet will be region-locked, as previously reported.
Sam_Protagonist (SCE Development) just posted up "This is in fact not the case, and all shared levels in the game will be available worldwide."
To quote: Hi all, as many of you may have heard already in an interview at Leipzig the senior producer for LittleBigPlanet announced that the game is region locked.
This is in fact not the case, and all shared levels in the game will be available worldwide. The confusion arose out of regional differences in how moderation will work as there are different legal rules each region have to play by, and at one point this looked like it may require the game to be independent in each region - however this has been worked around and there will only be one region for the game.... a LittleBigRegion.
Apologies for any confusion over this issue, however I'm pretty sure you're happy with the result.

- PAL progressive.
- PAL60 non interlaced.
- NTSC non interlaced.
- MPAL interlaced.
- MPAL non interlaced.
- Linux version included.
- Improved Menu.
- Possibility of changing the video ways one by one.
- Search of patterns improved (to solve problems with some games).
1. Extract the "main.dol" from your "SYSFILES" folder from your ISO's second partition.
2. Load the "main.dol into the executable and within a few seconds it will be fully patched.
3. Replace the "main.dol" in your iso with the newly patched version.
Keep in mind this is the first version and there could be bugs. At the moment this only works to convert...
307w ago - Have to commend Sony for openly embracing import gamers. The PSP and the PlayStation 3 are region free for games, but not for movies.
The latter is understandable considering movie studios are stuck with draconian product control that has a thankfully easy work around in the form of a region free DVD player. UMDs are a different story because they are region encoded and there isn't a simple fix if you are using official PSP firmware.
However, the new MTV releases indicate a change of pace. All of them have an "all" region label instead of a number indicating the region next to them. Perhaps, this is only for MTV UMDs or this is some kind of packing oversight.
I hope neither of these are the case and Sony plans to make the video format completely region free, especially if anime studios start selling entire series as cheap as the UMD Aeon Flux collection.
