280w ago - Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Ultimate Edition Senior Development Director David Seeholzer announced that the Ultimate Edition Demo hit PSN today.

To quote: I'm excited to let you know that our single player demo for the Ultimate Edition is available over at the PlayStation Store right now! So go start your downloads...go ahead, I'll still be here when you get back ;-)

The demo contains 2 campaign missions and a tutorial that will get you accustomed to playing RA3 on your PS3. The first campaign mission comes from the Soviet campaign; mission "Krasna 45," the second mission of the Soviet campaign, which we recommend you play first.

You are sent in to reclaim a derelict soviet base in order to intercept an Empire of the Rising Sun force en route to Moscow.

The other mission is "Heidelberg,"the third mission in the Allied campaign, which we recommend you play second overall. In Heidelberg, the Soviets have been pushed back to their headquarters and players will need to turn the tide of the battle by sneaking into their base, forcing them all the way back to Siberia. Both these missions feature co-op gameplay with an A.I. co-commander who will support you as well as follow your orders.

281w ago - Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Ultimate Edition Senior Development Director David Seeholzer unveiled the following Red Alert 3 PS3 details today via PS Blog:

Red Alert 3: Ultimate Edition promises to be the premier RTS on PS3 with full co-op campaign with VoIP support, 3 unique world powers vying for global domination, and over 60 minutes of classic C&C cinematics in full HD.

To really make this the Ultimate Edition, we added a ton of bonus content, some of which is entirely exclusive to the PS3 version, including developer strategy videos, the full soundtrack, 5 new skirmish maps, Behind the Scenes, Bloopers & Outtakes, and my favorite, The Women of RA3 featurette!

Since we last spoke some really cool things have come down the pipe. For starters our PlayStation Store destination went live and we have ton of awesome content hosted on it. There's a Red Alert 3 theme featuring the Soviet Commando, (and my personal favorite) Natasha, high res concept art from each faction, and our official trailer.

We have plans for more exciting content for the PlayStation Store so check back often. Most importantly we have been hard at work on a demo, and it should be available for download in a couple of weeks. We sincerely hope that all...

Hi all, my name is David Seeholzer and I am the Senior Development Director for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Ultimate Edition. You might be asking yourself why we are calling it the 'Ultimate Edition' of Red Alert 3.

I wanted to share some insight into the cool extras and bonus content we are making exclusive for you guys, as well as shed a little light on the development process and our future plans for the title on PS3.

Check out the Red Alert 3 page on the PS Store for the Ultimate Edition Theme and our first sneak peak trailer of the PS3 version.

Red Alert found its humble beginnings over a decade ago on PC and has since seen 2 sequels, several expansion packs, and now, is making its debut on the PS3 console. Fortunately the power of the PS3 and the Blu-ray medium has afforded us some extra luxuries that weren't available to us previously.

The most noticeable difference you'll see in the Ultimate Edition on PS3 is an increase the visual quality of the game so that it truly stands up to HD Blu-ray definition. A perfect example of this is what you will see in...

Red Alert 3 Enhanced on PlayStation 3 with 1080p and More!

200°
299w ago - The PlayStation 3 has not been forgotten with Red Alert 3. It looks like we will be getting an enhanced version of the game with 1080p support and they are making use of the extra storage of Blu-ray.

To quote: Red Alert 3 is now completed for Xbox 360 and PC. With these two projects out of the way, EA can now focus on a PS3 version, according to Videogamer.com.

"If you're a PS3 owner and you don't own a PC and you don't have an Xbox 360 you don't have to write on your Christmas or Hanukkah list that you want to have an Xbox," David Silvermann said.

"You can play Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, bide your time and you'll be very pleased. We're looking at doing some really cool things with the PS3 version. Since it is shipping later we're putting in a lot of cool content and really taking advantage of both the 1080p nature and the high-defness of Blu-Ray and also the fact that it can hold just so much more space."

It sounds like PS3 owners will get added content if they're truly taking advantage of Blu-ray. But let's hope that the devs at EA don't forget an oft-forgotten PS3 feature: the ability to plug in a mouse and keyboard.
