15w ago - Ready At Dawn Studios CEO and Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya announced today that they are building a new London for The Order: 1886 on PS4.
To quote: When creating our alternate history in The Order: 1886, our goal was to make the environment as believable as possible while at the same time adding our own twist to real places.
With the release of our trailer back at E3, we hinted at our vision of an alternate London.
This Neo-Victorian London will seem familiar to everyone, however, advances in technology will take center stage in many ways as you navigate the city. One of the main examples is the advent of electricity throughout the city, well before its time.
Gas lamps are replaced by electric street lights. Everywhere you go, you can hear the hum of electricity running through the city.
The London subway system is present in our version of the world, but it's much more advanced than it was in real life. Certain sections of the subway system run above ground in between buildings throughout the city. Electric signs line the streets making some areas of London almost look like Times Square.
The other big change you will witness is in the skyline of London. Although the familiar sights of Big Ben, St. Paul's, and the Tower Bridge are present,...
23w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton divulged new The Order 1886 PlayStation 4 details today courtesy of Ready At Dawn in a PS4 interview below.
To quote: A quick list of things that invariably get my blood pumping at a PlayStation E3 press briefing:
1) Big, bold new IP reveals; 2) Hugely talented developers getting their first shot at realising an original vision; 3) Ravishingly stylish games set in my hometown of London.
Duly, the debut trailer for The Order: 1886 ticked all the boxes - yes, even the last one, making 2013 something of a banner year!
But while the first showing of Ready At Dawn's new creation was undoubtedly one of the highlights of this year's show, it also raised a fair few questions. Sure enough, I tracked down studio co-founder Ru Weerasuriya backstage in search of answers.
We'll be talking more about the game in the not too distant future, but in the meantime hopefully the following exchange will keep your interest piqued.
PlayStation.Blog: So, exactly what kind of game is The Order: 1886?
Ru Weerasuriya: The Order is a third person action adventure with shooting mechanics. It's very much story-based - it's a linear story-based game. We're trying to tell a story. It's what we call a filmic experience.

And now, here we are, standing in the on-deck circle of the 2012 season waiting to see who will step up and lead their teams into the playoffs and become this year's World Series hero.
And, just in time for the opening series games between the Athletics and Mariners in Tokyo, all the Major League Baseball action can once again be watched with the new 2012 MLB.TV application for the PS3, now available on PSN.
Just like last season, the MLB.TV app gives you access to high-quality HD, live and archived games, home and away broadcasts, as well as an array of interactive features designed to take advantage of the PS3 system's technical prowess.
