2w ago - Spearhead Games Co-founder Simon Darveau shared a video today announcing that Tiny Brains is launching on December 3rd for PlayStation 4.
To quote: Hi! It's Simon from Spearhead Games, here again to talk about our upcoming PS4 co-op puzzler Tiny Brains. We finished our very last updates earlier this week, and we're finally done - it feels so weird to write that after Tiny Brains consumed my entire life for more than a year, but it's true.
The whole team is incredibly proud to be bringing Tiny Brains to PS4 on December 3rd. Thanks to PlayStation's support of indies, we were given the option to be featured on PlayStation Plus for the launch - it was an opportunity we couldn't pass up!
So look out for Tiny Brains soon, and in the meantime, I wanted to share our brand new launch trailer, and tell you a bit about how we're trying to get you back in the living room for some old school co-op with a next-gen twist.
When I was a kid, one of the best feelings in the world was getting a new game and rushing home to call my friends to come over and play. Crowded together in front of the screen, all excited to game late into the night; elbowing for room on the couch, gloating and swapping tips - these things are what gave me a lifelong love of video games.
4w ago - Co-founder of Spearhead Games Malik Boukhira announced today that Tiny Brains hits PS4 on 11/26 alongside a look at the DualShock 4 controller on PlayStation 4 below.
To quote: My friend Simon Darveau and I quit our jobs at AAA gaming studios in favor of a smaller, more experimental and creative independent game development. We wanted to create a new kind of game experience, and what better way to do so than to ride the wave of the new generation of consoles?
So with the help of PlayStation's push for indies, we found our experiment in cooperation, Tiny Brains, coming to life on the shockingly high-res screens of the brand-new PS4 on November 26th!
For some background, Tiny Brains is an upcoming action puzzle game that follows the adventures of four tiny (but super-powered!) lab animals that have been experimented on by a mad scientist. Each "tiny brain" has a unique physics-based ability and players must work together to combine their powers and escape the trick-ridden science experiment.
We made this game to truly be about co-op - unlike some co-op games where the stronger players can complete the objectives while their less-experienced friends hang back and bumble about, in Tiny Brains, all the animals' powers must work in tandem in order to progress. You and your fellow...
5w ago - SideQuest Studios CEO Marcus Pukropski announced today alongside a video that Rainbow Moon is coming to PlayStation Vita on December 3rd.
Below are the details, to quote: After we released Rainbow Moon on PS3 last year, one of the most common questions we received was "Are you going to make a Vita version?"
Obviously we weren't the only ones that believed Rainbow Moon would make a great experience for handheld platforms, and with demand being so high, we set about working on a Vita port almost immediately.
For those of you not already familiar with Rainbow Moon, we've put together a new trailer. You can also find a few of our older blog posts explaining the game in more detail here.
Something that was really important to us from the beginning was using our own engine to ensure a solid 60 FPS, and a robust game with little to no loading times. After months of hard work, we're happy to announce that Rainbow Moon Vita is coming to PlayStation Store on December 3rd!
As a result of all the amazing feedback from Rainbow Moon fans around the world, more than 30 new features, improvements, and bug fixes found their way into Rainbow...
8w ago - Capcom Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements shared a fresh video today reminding fans to remember their ninja training for Strider coming to both PS3 and PS4 platforms.
To quote: Amidst a flurry of snow and the lazy trundle of passing airships, Strider Hiryu blazes across the screen, cutting down any and all that stand in his way. This classic ninja hero returns in Strider, a rebirth of the side-scrolling classic made famous in late '80s arcades.
The new Strider, which launches in early 2014 for PS3 and PS4, enhances the fast-paced spectacle of the original with HD visuals, while preserving the frantic combat and momentum that long-time fans will fondly remember.
Set in a dark and oppressed future, the world suffers under the tyranny of Grand Master Meio, the complete ruler of the planet. Players control Strider Hiryu, along with his indestructible Cypher weapon, in order to terminate Meio and restore balance to Earth's governments.
As the youngest Special-A Class recruit in the Strider program, Hiryu catapults into this mission, empowering players with a variety of eye-searing attacks.
Strider is a side-scrolling action platformer, set on one sprawling map. Similar to other RPG-influenced side scrollers, like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Hiryu...
