Dollar Dash: Pull Off the Ultimate Heist on PlayStation Network Today

57w ago - Candygun Games Managing Director Roger Joswig invites fans to pull off the ultimate heist in Dollar Dash on PlayStation Network today!

To quote: Everyone here on the development team at Candygun Games is excited to see Dollar Dash release on the PlayStation Network.

Creating a game with local multiplayer mayhem was at the top of our priorities as we designed it to be entertaining to play with friends on the couch or online. We are quite happy with the depth of multiplayer options and configurations - there are so many ways to play.

In Dollar Dash, players control a cartoon thief and attempt to grab as much cash as they can carry in their bag. To secure victory, players must bring their bag of cash to a getaway car all while avoiding pratfalls from other thieves who are out to collect the cash for themselves.

Luckily, there are crazy amounts of weapons and power-ups to utilize in effort to gather the most amounts of cash and stand on top of the piles of cash to be called the number-one thief.

Speaking of weapons, Dollar Dash has 20 crazy ones: from hunting thieves by throwing a cactus pot at them or squashing them with a giant boulder, the game is truly mad. Players can throw down oil slicks or portable holes to shake off pursuers.

Hindus Want Sony to Pull Recent PS2 Exclusive Hanuman Game

261w ago - Hindus have reportedly urged Sony Corporation to withdraw the newly released €Hanuman: Boy Warrior€ video game for PlayStation 2 console, saying it trivializes the highly revered deity of Hinduism.

To quote: We posted with some excitement a few weeks back that India had produced their first video game, Hanuman: Boy Warrior. Sadly, the game hasn€t gone down too well with the Hindu community.

Rajan Zed, an acclaimed Hindu statesman, said that the game put players in control of the Lord Hanuman, while in reality believers put the destiny of themselves in the hands of their deities. He said the re-imagining the scriptures for commercial gain would hurt devotees.

No word on whether Sony are going to pull the game or not yet, but it€s obviously a very sensitive matter for Hindus.

We can€t help but think it€s a shame though, we were genuinely really excited for India€s developer€s putting out their first release and, now this.

Another Four Game Publishers pull out of E3 2008

311w ago - Today another 4 game publishers have pulled out of this year's E3 conference, adding to Activision and Vivendi who have also discontinued their membership with the Entertainment Software Association (ESA).

So far those who have confirmed that they will not be attending include Codemasters, NCSoft, Her Entertainment, id Software, Vivendi, and Activision.

Several industry sources say the drop outs are down to ESA's latest president Mike Gallagher. Analyst Michael Pachter agrees with this theory and says that Gallagher is "far less knowledgeable and sophisticated" than the previous president and that publishers no longer see the value in the ESA.

To quote: Lowenstein was a very savvy industry veteran who paid attention to the goings-on in the industry and cared what the community had to say, Pachter said.

The new person... whose name completely escapes me because I've never met him or heard from him, is far less knowledgeable and sophisticated about this industry than Doug was and is going to make some rookie mistakes.

Doug used to be a very visible spokesperson in congress... when you'd get these [things like] Barack Obama saying videogames are corrupting our youth or MADD saying that Take-Two should pull GTA off t he shelves, you would hear Lowenstein...
