Dragon's Crown Update: Atlus Publishing Title for PS3 and PS Vita

250°
61w ago - Atlus Manager of Public Relations and Sales Aram Jabbari has confirmed today that they will be publishing the upcoming video game entitled Dragon's Crown for both PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: You know how you're really excited for something and then something happens and you get even more excited?

Like that time you found out they were making a movie for The Hobbit and you were excited... but kinda bummed that Peter Jackson wouldn't be directing it.

But guess what happened: Peter Jackson announced that he would in fact direct it, and you got a heck of a lot more excited. Right?

Remember Dragon's Crown, the next project from Vanillaware announced at last E3, a multiplayer action RPG with beautiful hand-drawn visuals slated to come to PS3 and PS Vita?

BREAKING NEWS: Atlus is taking over publishing duties in Japan and North America! What's more, key (and very talented) members of the Atlus internal development team will be involved with the project as producer(s).

You know, some of the people who've worked on games in the critically acclaimed Persona series. Yeah, we know: we're stoked, too!

What does this mean for the game? For one, it means that it's going to be better than ever. It will, however, come a bit later than originally...

PlayStation Publishing Partners Make E3 2010 Announcements

250°
157w ago - Today SCEA's Senior Vice President of Publisher Relations Rob Dyer has highlighted some of the E3 2010 PlayStation publishing partner announcements.

To quote: E3 may have come to a close, but we couldn't be more excited by the plethora of great games and content available for PlayStation fans.

Along with PlayStation Move and a host of exclusive titles coming from our first party developers, our publishing partners were out in force taking full advantage of everything PS3 and PSP have to offer.

One of the biggest surprises at E3 was Gabe Newell from Valve's arrival on the stage at the press conference earlier this week.

He acknowledged his appreciation for the PS3 as "the most open platform of all the current generation consoles." He went on to not only announce that Portal 2 was coming to the PlayStation 3, but also to state that it'll be the "best version on any console."

EA also introduced several exclusives to PS3 including the special edition version of Medal of Honor that comes with the 2002 classic Medal of Honor Frontline, which has been updated and re-mastered with HD visuals.

And those of you looking...

Square-Enix Publishing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in Japan?

100°
199w ago - Apparently there is a chance that Square-Enix, RPG giant, famous for the Final Fantasy series is aiding in the publishing of Modern Warfare 2 in Japan.

A new teaser site posted by Square-Enix, shows some Japanese text (sorry I can't read it so I couldn't translate it), and the familiar Modern Warfare "2". Also the legal info at the bottom of the site credits Activision.

This is just my opinion or view on the situation, but I believe that Square-Enix is helping to push Modern Warfare 2 in Japan, due to their strong following and support in the Final Fantasy series.

By selling the product with a widely known name, there is a chance for better coverage and spread of the product as well as targeting the company's main supporters.
