Video: Eliminage Original Brings Deep RPG Customization to PSP Today

50°
92w ago - UFO Interactive Games Producer Andrew Wang has shared a video today announcing that Eliminage Original brings deep RPG customization to PSP today.

To quote: I think RPG gamers need no introduction to the concept of customization. In Elminage Original, the customization options are... abundant, to say the least.

There are 12 character races and 16 classes to choose from, so players will be able to tailor their party to suit their specific play styles.

Elminage Original is a dungeon-crawling RPG, and it doesn't try to hide it. It doesn't waste time hand-holding, and it lets you jump into the action very quickly if you so choose.

Parties are formed in groups of six, so whether you think you'll do better with Humans, Fairies, Werebeasts, or Magic Dolls, you can rest assured that there are plenty of combinations to try!

Customization is a big reason why I love RPG's. When I start to play a new RPG, I tend to get caught up when I'm allowed an unlimited amount of time to grind and discover new tactics, and I spend way too many hours doing so. I'm sure that some of you reading this know exactly what I am talking about.

In the case of Elminage Original, I even spent time customizing my entire party to make sure that they all had matching themed portraits....

PSP RPG Unchained Blades Arrives on PlayStation Network Today

113w ago - XSEED Games Production Assistant Brittany Avery has announced that PSP RPG Unchained Blades arrives on PlayStation Network today with details below.

To quote: It's a bird! It's a plane! It's... a guy with unusually long hair falling out of the sky and crashing head-first into a temple. Oops.

This is how you'll be introduced to everyone's favorite Dragon. In short, Emperor Fang is an arrogant jerk who goes to a heavenly temple in the skies and demands that the creator of the world, Goddess Clunea, find him the strongest guy in the world so he can kick more ass and take more names.

She basically laughs in his face and smacks him down to earth in a weakened state. Now that he's a 'fledgling', a child-beast in the form of a humanoid teen, he's forced to go through living temples called Titans to find the Goddess again and get his revenge.

After 300+ hours of time spent with the game, I feel I might have the qualifications to give it a score of badass/10. Which means 11. Maybe 11.5.

But since I can't actually score games I've worked on (some people might call that cheating), just remember the part where I started yelling at the screen because my favorite character, who is a Golem, started crushing on a loli Mandrake (this is actually a lot less creepy in context......

Knights in the Nightmare for PSP: Bullet Hell in a Strategy RPG

50°
202w ago - Atlus Manager of Public Relations and Sales Aram Jabbari has shared details today on Knights in the Nightmare for PSP to help fans master 'bullet hell' in this strategy RPG game.

To quote: Because Knights in the Nightmare is so radically different than any other game currently available for the PSP system, it tends to offer most gamers a slightly steeper than usual learning curve.

In order to make acclimation to the game's amazingly satisfying mix of strategy-RPG and bullet-hell action, here's some tutorial-style stuff to get you started before Knights in the Nightmare hits stores and PSN on November 9th.

The Basics

You are The Wisp. You awaken with no knowledge of where you are or why you're there. Only one thing draws you: a battered, cursed castle. There, you sense, a terrible tragedy occurred. You find you have the power to awaken and control the spirits of victimized knights, and you find yourself compelled to use this power to uncover the story of this calamity and rid the castle of its curse.

You begin every chapter of the game with a story sequence. These cutscenes are one of the game's biggest strengths–lovingly drawn and animated, they are heavy with emotion and stray far from your typically bright and happy clich├ęs.

Video: Cladun: This is an RPG Comes to PSN September 21, 2010

100°
207w ago - PR/Marketing Coordinator Nao Zook at NIS America, Inc has announced today alongside a video trailer that Cladun: This is an RPG for PSP is coming to PSN on September 21, 2010.

To quote: Today, I am excited to talk about [Register or Login to view links]... like we have to make sure you know it is an RPG... Hahaha! Anyway, as the subtitle states, it is an RPG, and it is also a classic dungeon crawler game.

There are nine characters, and each one of them can be played as a main character. Cladun's key gameplay focus is team-work. Or, in other words, the Magic Circle. Let's take a look at the Magic Circle here...

For this Magic Circle, the character in the center is the main character, Pudding. In a dungeon, you will see only Pudding whacking and slashing enemies, but actually you have all the other characters protecting you and fighting with you. There are more than 10 Magic Circles for each character.

Each Magic Circle has different strengths and weaknesses, so depending on what kind of dungeon you are about to go in, you will want to take a moment and see which Magic Circle you should be using.

Oh! So you see all these gemstones on the Magic Circle, right? These gemstones have specific attributes, for example, "DEF...
