93w ago - Following shortly behind the new PS3 Firmware 3.70 update, today Sony has also released PSP System Software Firmware update version 6.60 for the PlayStation Portable and PSPgo consoles.

Sony's Network Entertainment VP Eric Lempel has stated that this is indeed a minor PSP system software update.

As always, those utilizing any of the the recent PSP downgraders and hacks will want to avoid updating your console if you wish to run PSP homebrew on it as the recent PlayStation Portable exploits are likely patched.

104w ago - Just over a week ago PS3 Firmware 3.61 was released, and today Sony Network Entertainment VP Eric Lempel has announced that PSP System Software Update version 6.39 is incoming.

The 6.39 PlayStation Portable update will essentially do the same as the 3.61 update did for PS3, requiring users to change their PSN passwords to login for security purposes.
