11w ago - Tecmo Koei Europe Community Manager Chin Soon Sun announced alongside a video trailer that Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters launches today and fans can try it for free!
To quote: Fighters! It's been a while! Today I would like to talk about Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters which will be available FREE on PlayStation Store from this Wednesday, 25th September.
So, what is Dead or Alive?
For the uninitiated, Dead or Alive is a 3D fighting game series that first hit arcades in 1996. After first gaining attention for its intuitive fighting system, the series has since gone on to sell around the world.
The series was brought back for the first time in series years with the release of Dead or Alive 5 in September last year, boasting updated graphics and fighting mechanics.
What's new in Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate?
In Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, developer Team NINJA has added an abundance of new online features, stages, game modes and the addition of both new and fan-favourites to our already extensive cast of fighters to deliver the 'ultimate' in fighting entertainment with features enjoyable from casual to competitive fighters.
We have added several fan-favorite characters to the biggest roster in franchise...
17w ago - Creat Studios Boston VP of Product Development Jason Benham announced that Ms Germinator launches on PSN today with 20% PS Plus savings.
To quote: A lot of classic games had an unintended 'game over' screen where a certain level didn't quite fit into the game logic or memory. These levels have a name: kill screen.
Well, with the release of our new action puzzler Ms. Germinator, we ran into the very same problem: our very first 'Challenge Level' is actually a kill-screen and half the layout is totally glitched. Can you solve the riddle of the kill-screen?
Eagle-eyed observers will already have noticed that the left side resembles a level from the game that heralded the arrival of a certain famous Italian plumber, while the right side is the garbled mess you may expect on the Ms. Pacman kill screen. But, all is not lost - using expert precision and tactics, you can still navigate and conquer this particular kill screen, and you won't even have to be called Billy Mitchell to do it!
Seriously though folks, this is pretty big - we're going to regularly release new Challenge levels and run competitions too! For this first one, the highest score on the ranking board for the Challenge level at end-of-day GMT on Tuesday 20th August will receive a prize of three Creat...

54w ago - Rising Star Games Product Marketing Manager Yen Hau has announced that Under Defeat HD launches on PS3 today and PSN next week with a fresh video trailer below!
To quote: Following my last post in October regarding Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition's development, I was excited to see all the community feedback and anticipation towards the title's launch.
Shoot 'em up games are definitely part of a unique, niche genre and to be able to see such a great demand for Under Defeat HD only makes the development part easier for the team.
With that said, I'm so excited to announce that Under Defeat HD: Deluxe Edition is available today exclusively through Amazon for PlayStation 3! A digital version will also be available December 4th via PlayStation Network.
Under Defeat HD is an arcade shooter that lets players take on the role of a helicopter pilot as they are caught in a struggle between the Empire and the Union. The game features destructive realism and dual stick compatibility, making it a must have for any shmup fan.
55w ago - Bolser Digital Director Richard Carter has shared a video announcing that the PS Vita application T@G launches today on PSN.
To quote: Good news everyone - our free PS Vita app t@g will finally be available to download later today.
T@g is an augmented reality social graffiti application. You can create your very own t@gs using different fonts, fills and effects and go out and place them in the real world using the camera and GPS on the PSVita. You can also overt@g other players, advance through the ranks opening up new fonts and fills, and earn respect and kudos by following other t@ggers.
It's been a while since we started developing t@g - well before the PS Vita was really publicly known. So much so that our initial devices didn't even resemble the final product - no touch screens, battery, 3G or GPS. As you can imagine for such an application that is so dependent on all these features it did cause us a few difficulties on the way!
One of the most memorable moments was field testing on the local cricket pitch with two 100 meter extension cables leading back to the office. The developer was stood in the middle of the field with a Vita in one hand and a laptop perched on his knee testing...
