European PlayStation Store Update for August 11, 2010

228w ago - Following hot on the heels of the US PSN update, today SCEE PlayStation Store Manager Mike Kebby has announced this weeks additions to the European PSN update as follows:

Yesterday we released the first add-on content pack for Red Dead Redemption. Legends And Killers adds new multiplayer elements, such as additional characters and the new tomahawk weapon, and for those of you looking to add some fresh content to your online gunslinging, now's your chance.

There's a few titles released for your PSP this week too, and leading the charge is the first in the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series, so get prepared to finely hone those demon collection skills, in this renowned RPG.

The final piece of content I want to highlight is the demo for Mafia II. I managed to spend some time with the team at 2K last week and get my hands on the demo, and had a jolly old time.

I played the same demo you'll all be able to get your hands on today, so I won't say anything else in case I spoil it, but let me say this - you'll have a ten minute countdown of free-roam before you have to reach the mission checkpoint, so make the most of cruising round and seeing how much chaos you can cause

Okay, that's enough of me, now to the matter at hand... the full list. Enjoy!

European PlayStation Store PSN Update for July 28, 2010

230w ago - SCEE's PlayStation Store Manager Mike Kebby has posted up this weeks European PSN update today, as follows:

An old friend returns (for the first time on PlayStation since 1995); Earthworm Jim HD is a remake of the old classic - which I may add was hard as nails, I never actually completed it - and features all the old favourite characters and levels, but now comes with added HD shininess, additional levels and a multiplayer mode.

I for one am I very excited, and will be doing my best to actually complete it this time!

We have two additions to the PSone roster on the store; Pong and Rayman 2: The Great Escape. I know it's been quite a wait to get Rayman 2 onto the store, and we're very pleased to say that it's now available, so grab your copy and help Rayman defend his world against the pirate invasion!

As for Pong, you know what to expect and it needs no further explanation really, other than this version (originally released in 1999) comes with 3D graphics and power-ups.

That's not all for PS3 though, we have the Madden NFL 11 demo for instance as well as much more; I refer you to the full list below for the full details.

As for your PSP needs this week there are two Harry Potter games available, a demo for Worms: Battle Islands, and...

European PlayStation Store Update for June 23, 2010

235w ago - SCEE's PlayStation Store Manager Mike Kebby is here with this weeks European PSN update today, as follows:

Before we tuck into the main bulk of the update, there are new Special Offers available this week, with some monstrous PixelJunk related goodness on offer amongst other titles, and we also have a collection of Sonic goodies from SEGA on offer to help celebrate the blue one's 19th birthday.

I asked if the spiky one was available to come to the blog to comment, but apparently he's a game character and doesn't actually really exist. Shame.

So, onto the new content, let's head straight into one of the most discussed games in these comment sections of late...The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, yes indeed it's here at last. Avast mateys! Come and enjoy the piratey goodness that's in store. Classic gameplay, liberally covered with lovely new splashes of paint, and more Guybrush than you'll know what to do with, sounds good right?

If you want more, then Battlefield: Bad Company 2 drops new supplies onto the front, with the new Onslaught Mode hitting hard and fast. Adding new multiplayer co-op gameplay elements for you and three friends - thus meaning four players can test their skills across new maps - this is an explosive...

I know most of you are more interested in [Register or Login to view links] this week then anything I can offer, but at least spare a quick thought for your favourite digital store please

You can enjoy some of the E3 fun direct from the store as we have a list of various trailers available for download, as well as the usual selection of goodies that are be available. What goodies you ask? Well goodies such as Tales of Monkey Island, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and more SingStar song packs than you can shake a stick at.

I'm not even going to try and compete with all the E3 news that's flying around, so I'm going to keep it short this week. One final thing though; we do have some additional trailers released onto the store tomorrow too.

European PlayStation Store Update for June 2, 2010

238w ago - SCEE PlayStation Store Manager Mike Kebby is here with this weeks European PSN update today, as follows:

Planet Minigolf joins us this week, bringing its own style of golfing aesthetics to our fingertips, also offering customisation options as well as multiplayer modes; this certainly looks like something you could be sinking some time into (there's also a demo available).

On PSP, you can assume the role of a fighter pilot tasked with taking down a witch (yes you read that right) in Xyanide: Resurrection, a side-scrolling shoot 'em up.

For those who own both PS3 and PSP I direct to this lovely little oddity (can you guess where I'm going with this?), the multi-award winning sequel, Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus.

That's not all though, there are plenty of other titles worth delving into; the full listing as always is below.

There is one more week to run on the current batch of Special Offers, and we've also got some further titles given the permanent price reduction treatment too.
