Andy Kelly recently reviewed the PlayStation 3 version of Fallout 3 for PSM3. The review has been leaked onto the Web and there has been concern as Andy's review stated that the graphics in the PS3 version compare poorly to its XBox and PC counterparts.
To quote: Our exclusive Fallout 3 PS3 review (from PSM3#107) has leaked onto the Internet and, as expected, a single sentence has been dragged out, beaten and interrogated under a spotlight.
This one; "The PS3 version compares poorly to its Xbox and PC counterparts." Which, in the parlance of the Internet, obviously means; "THE PS3 VERSION SUCKS! XBOX WINS! ANOTHER CRAPPY PORT!" But that isn't the case. The PS3 version just looks SLIGHTLY WORSE than the other versions.
The PC version of Fallout 3 is gorgeous. The colours are vivid, the draw distance is endless, the textures are high-res and the lighting effects are beautifully subtle, especially when you're gazing over the Capital Wastelan... More »

TimeSplitters 4 details have been few and far between since its official reveal, but the folks at PSM3 (PlayStation 3 Magazine) have snagged a few details on the upcoming shooter.
According to Derek Littlewood of Free Radical, TimeSplitters 4 won't utilize the heavily-criticized Haze graphics engine. Instead, Free Radical opted for some "new and double shiny tech."
While this all sounds good, the game is still early on in the development cycle, and won't see the light of day for a while. What may come a bit sooner, if PSM3 is to be believed, is a TimeSplitters 2 remake in HD, which would most likely be released on the PlayStation Network.
It would certainly get folks excited about the new TimeSplitters, that's for sure.
Despite numerous denials from publisher Take-Two and the like, UK PlayStation rag PSM3 is making the bold claim that BioShock is heading to PS3 on its cover page.
Details are nonexistent at the moment as the mag won’t hit newsstands until June 5, but the cover shot does pose an attention grabbing headline, which interestingly denotes “Why Xbox’s best shooter is better on PS3.”
Does that mean the long-awaited PS3 edition of BioShock will receive additional content? Possibly. But we have no hard evidence, so consider it conjecture for now.
For what its worth, Take-Two is keeping silent on the matter and hasn’t issued an outright denial in regards to the magazine’s story. I’d say, there’s a 99% chance that an announcement will come before June 5.
According to rumors in the PSM3 magazine, we are going to have to wait a few months to see in game XMB. The magazine also states that Sony may soon make a big announcement about Home, that will reveal achievements to rival the Xbox live system.

Sony's UK boss Ray Maguire recently mentioned that in-game communication would be introduced to the PS3 this summer.
Daniel Dawkins, editor of PSM3 Magazine, has since said that this will bring the PS3 up to parity with X-Xox Live but that the key difference is that it’s free.
To quote: TechRadar spoke with Daniel Dawkins, editor of PSM3 Magazine, this morning who told us: “This brings the PS3 up to parity with Xbox Live, the key difference being that it’s free".

Sony's complex PS3 hardware is a 'nice fit' for Ubisoft's ambitious Far Cry 2 - but developers Ubisoft Montreal admit that compromises have been made. "We were somewhat worried by some of the reported high complexity of developing for the PS3", reveals Tech Director Dominic Guay, "but the raw processing power is impressive".
After a slew of delays, and some unfavourable comparisons between 'identical' Xbox 360 and PS3 ports, it seems developers are finally getting to grips with Sony's machine. "We made sure we had a group of programmers that were not scared by complexity and had a large console programming experience to work on the initial PS3 R&D of Dunia (Far Cry 2's graphics engine). At that point, we didn't know what to expect."
"One thing that we realized pretty quickly as we started R&D on PS3, was that the hardware architecture had a very nice fit with some of our technical design decisions. We were positively surprised by how efficient the SPUs (the Ce... More »
This rumor comes from Playstation 3 magazine PSM3. PSM3 is part on online gaming website CVG.
In their feature "2008 year of the ps3" I noticed something interesting.
Among the games listed one poped out the most, Ace Combat 6 with this written below:
"Japan's favourite dogfighting series returns with a new made-up war, a brace of superweapons, online co-op and a custom controller for the superfans."
Could this be a miss print even though there is a picture and writting to go with it or do they know something that we don't and that Namco will be annoucing this for the PS3 soon.
