PS4 Pro Tip: Use Docs for PlayStation on PlayStation 4, Details

50°
4w ago - Today JM Garcia shared a PS4 pro tip to use Docs for PlayStation on PlayStation 4 with details below, as follows:

Happy holidays, everyone! I know a lot of you may be new PS4 owners, so I wanted to welcome you to the PlayStation Nation and offer up a little not-so-secret pro tip to help you out while you're gaming: Docs for PlayStation.

If you're like me, you don't like having to search through a paper instruction manual or scour the internet to find game info and the controller guide for your new game.

With Docs for PlayStation, you've got a one-stop destination where you can access what you need right from your console, smartphone, tablet, or PC.

Docs launched alongside PS4 last November and it has replaced printed manuals for first-party PlayStation titles, as well as select third-party games.

You might have used Docs and not even realized it - you can find the digital manuals on PS4 in a game's Live Tile (press down when you have highlighted a game on PS4's Dynamic Menu). Once you're in, you'll find guides, tutorials, detailed maps, the latest info on DLC or just a quick controller reference guide.

And if you're playing and don't want to pause your game, just go to Docs for PlayStation on your smartphone, tablet, or computer via a web browser,...

P.T. on PlayStation 4: Survival Tips for Konami's PS4 Horror Hit

400°
12w ago - Konami Community Manager Su-Yina Farmer shared some PlayStation 4 survival tips today for Konami's PS4 horror hit P.T. below.

To quote: Forget the pumpkin spice lattes, Halloween is all about scaring the bejesus out of yourself and those around you.

So what better way to celebrate than turning the lights off, grabbing a headset or turning up your surround system (essential for the full immersive experience) and starting up P.T. - it's free to download on PS Store!

Sure, you can watch the countless videos populating the Internet of horrified gamers, but there's nothing more satisfying than completing the game yourself and obtaining that 'I Played P.T. to the End and Survived' kudos. It's an experience you won't forget.

If you're too terrified to try P.T. out, or have dipped your toe into the game but need a bit of guidance, let me hold your hand and give you a few hints and tips!

Firstly, you'll notice that P.T. plays in a loop: you'll visit the same corridor, but each time something will be different.

You should take the time to inspect and interact with everything: pictures on the walls, items on the floor. Listen closely and pay attention, the devil is in the details after all. Did a door just open? And don't forget to look up...

Don't Get Greedy

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn PS4 - PlayStation 4 Beta Tips

50°
48w ago - Square Enix Community Project Manager Hergen Thaens posted up some PlayStation 4 Beta tips today for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PS4.

To quote: It's now Saturday. The floodgates have opened, and our login servers are starting to grind their gears in earnest - the PS4 beta has begun!

For those of you that have not yet found your way into the realm of Eorzea, this is for you. If you haven't download the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn PS4 beta, just jump into PlayStation Store now.

First Steps

After you've logged in and updated the game, you can go straight to the character creation process. This is really straightforward - choose whatever suits you best! From hulking Roegadyn to tiny Lalafell, all is available to you.

But an important note: if you want to play with friends, you'll want to make sure that you choose classes that start in the same city! It's a long trip from city to city, until you do the quest to access a new travel method at level 15.

While you work yourself through the introduction, you'll be in an instance (a sealed-off area in the game) that only you are in. That's normal - as soon as you've finished the first few quests, you'll find yourself among tons of other players.

The game will introduce the...

Video: Mojang Outlines 10 Tips for Playing Minecraft on PS3

50°
57w ago - Mojang's Owen Hill outlined 10 tips alongside a video today for those playing Minecraft on the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

To quote: Hi again guys, Owen from Mojang, here. Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition launched a few days ago. We thought it would be nice to get some tips from the developers to help you learn the basics.

I asked around the office and gathered these for you. Hope they help!

1. Never dig straight down! It's a lot harder to get back to the surface, and you might end up dropping into lava. Lava is uncomfortably hot.

2. Never dig straight up! You might end up with a head full of sand, gravel, or the melty hot stuff we mentioned earlier.

3. If you come to a junction while mining, and one of the routes leads upwards, take that one. Explore the safe options first, and then go adventuring deep underground.

4. Always watch your back in dark places! There might be something scary behind you... waaah!

5. Make sure you bring torches. Place them first, then collect the resources later.
