PlayStation 4 Trophy (PS4 .TRP File) Extractor by Red-EyeX32 Arrives

4w ago - Today PlayStation 4 homebrew developer Red-EyeX32 has made available a PlayStation 4 Trophy (PS4 .TRP File) Extractor similar to the previous PS3 and PS Vita tools from Red Squirrel with details below.

Download: Red-EyeX32_-_Playstation_4_Trophy_Extractor.rar

To quote: Sup guys, Just a little thing I had been working on for quite some time now. This here will let you extract Playstation 4 .trp files and extract the files in the container. There are mostly .png and .esfm files inside the container. All the .esfm files are encrypted from what I have seen which needs more further investigation.

I have been working with intelligent people trying to get these files decrypted. From what I have heard .esfm files are encrypted .xml files just like how PS3's trophy files were. Anyways here's a pic of the tool.

Thanks to Jakes625 for being helpful

Finally, from Wololo: TRP files are a fairly simple container with a header describing the content of the files (similar to a tar file or an uncompressed zip). The tool is a straightforward GUI that runs a command line application which is in charge of the unpacking process.

Video: CounterSpy PS4 is Coming to PlayStation 4 This Summer

50°
5w ago - Dynamighty Lead Designer David Nottingham posted up a video trailer today announcing that CounterSpy PS4 is coming to PlayStation 4 this Summer!

Below are the details, to quote: Hello friends. Things have been quiet on the home front here at Dynamighty in the last few months. The truth is we've been quietly working hard to make CounterSpy as awesome as it can be. In the world of espionage, this is known as being Deep Undercover.

Well, all our diabolical plans are finally falling into place, and we have some exciting news to share. When we partnered with PlayStation, PS4 was but a fantastical dream of uber console heaven somewhere off in the future. We originally announced that CounterSpy was coming to PS3 and PS Vita.

Since the PS4 launch, we've had a steady stream of requests from people as to when or if we would be releasing on PlayStation's new hardware. We're thrilled to declassify this information and officially confirm that, yes, CounterSpy WILL be launching on PS4 this Summer.

We've been eagerly working with PS4 now. I think the extra power of the system is going to open up some really nice possibilities for us. At the same time, we remain committed to PS3 and PS Vita (the game is looking great on both those platforms).

Videos: DualShock 4 Controller Mod Offers Portable PS4 Gaming

10w ago - Below are some videos on a PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 (DS4) controller modification that offers portable PS4 gaming from FamilyGamerTV via YouTube.

To quote via Forbes (linked above): "Controlling a Vita and Dual Shock 4 improves the experience more than you might imagine. Hack them together like my daughter did and you have a new way to play PlayStation 4 games on the go - big bright screen, controller sticks, lights and rumble.

While console battles excite and drive avid gamers to buy technology early, it’s not until these devices find themselves battered at the bottom of toy boxes that we really know how valuable they are.

It’s obvious that the DS is a big success in the families I work with, not just because of the sales curve but seeing them covered in stickers, half falling apart and with an old pen replacing the stylus. Like writing their names on the underside of favorite toys, this kind of treatment is a child’s way of saying they love something.

Both grown-ups and children have been increasingly using the PlayStation Vita, but it wasn’t until this weekend that the little device really came of age in our household. It felt like we finally found some ways to use it that really fitted how we wanted to game as a family.

First, as...

Bloober Team: Basement Crawl is Blasting Onto PS4 / PlayStation 4

50°
13w ago - Bloober Team Marketing Manager Marc Colhoun announced today that Basement Crawl is blasting onto PS4 / PlayStation 4 soon with details below!

To quote: Hello everyone! Scary clowns, abandoned circuses and explosions sound appealing? Well, dive on in...

Basement Crawl is a PS4 exclusive that allows you to play locally with friends, a feature that hasn't been especially prevalent in games lately. Basement Crawl brings together retro gameplay, modern mechanics and grindhouse horror to create a completely addictive experience.

As soon as you dive into the game, you can face off against four players locally or eight players online in dynamic grid based arena mayhem. Even better, you can play 4-player local and 8-player online.

There are a total of four different classes and nine arenas to choose from. Depending on the setting and your class, you will have to tailor your approach and style for each match. Beyond that, there are unique bombs and power ups granted to each character.

Basement Crawl focuses very very heavily on skill. We don't care how many hours you grind in other games to progress and get the highest rank or unbeatable weapons. Here, it's all about reflexes and strategy. If you are the more skilled player - whether you've played for a minute or a year...
