169w ago - PS3 Brand Manager Mark Bowles has posted up three new PlayStation Move videos today taken from the latest PS3 TV ads, as follows:
As PlayStation Move launches across Europe next week, I wanted to share some of the new TV ads we've created to support it and give a taster of what we have in store for Move.
The first 'Move into the action' ad shows you how PlayStation Move puts you smack bang into the middle of the game.
It shows off Move's amazing precision and highlights some of the new games designed to showcase the motion controller at its best, including Sports Champions and the forthcoming The Fight.
Most of you guys on the Blog will know all about Move and what it can do already, but there are a lot of people out there who aren't as up to speed on all things PlayStation. The other ad you'll be seeing on TV is the 'Move into the Party!' ad.
We have many social gamers out there who love competing with friends on a night in and Move brings loads of new ways to beat your mates while having a good laugh at the same time, with new games such as Start the Party and the soon to be released SingStar Dance.
200w ago - In a recent interview with IGN, Sony VP Peter Dille revealed that Kevin Butler will be starring in PlayStation ads for rest of 2010.
Dille commented on the company's new "It Only Does Everything" slogan and marketing campaign as follows, to quote:
"It's been tremendously successful. Consumers love it. It's great to hear people like you guys love it. And the results are really in the sales because it's really been flying since this coincided in September with the launch of the new PS3."
The tremendous success of the ad campaign has guaranteed its continuation through 2010.
"You can expect to see Kevin Butler inject a lot of life into the PlayStation brand between now and the rest of the year," Dille commented, and promised we'd see the tagline quite a bit "when motion control comes onto the scene."
225w ago - This is apparently attack of the alleged PS3 Slim ads day... two retailers from two different sources claim they snagged pics of the upcoming ads.
Gizmodo (linked above) reports that they received photos of a 120GB PS3 Slim listed for $299.99 in a K-Mart flyer.
The story on the second set of pics supposedly from a Best Buy ad comes from TheBigManAndGarrett who are reporting the following from their source, to quote:
"I cannot reveal my exact role, however, I can tell you that I work closely with the marketing department at Best Buy. This ad is a mock up at best of the ad to be released in just over two weeks.
I cannot comment on the NeoGAF PS3 mock up as this is the material that we're working with. Many images are often used as placeholders. The final ad will be touched up for grammar, punctuation, etc. Hope this helps."
That being said, the general consensus thus far is they are fakes... all we can do is wait until next week to see if the PS3 Slim makes an appearance at...
316w ago - From Kim Nguyen (Marketing Manager): Hello everyone. When we last spoke, I posted some ads for PS3 third-party heavy hitters Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty 4. Well, as promised, we have more up our sleeves and have a couple more spots to debut for you all before they officially air the week of November 19th.
We've brought back the same pulsating music track (Saliva's "Ladies and Gentlemen") from our PS3 brand spots and feature games from our 3rd party friends like Burnout Paradise, WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2008, Madden NFL 08, Time Crisis 4, Assassin's Creed, Haze, and, what you've all been asking for ... Metal Gear Solid 4 from Konami.
Finally, one little housekeeping note. You all must be wondering why the TV spots aren't on the PLAYSTATION Store. We're not just blowing smoke, they will be soon. We need to secure download rights from Saliva. It's really great to see how much you guys love these spots and want to download them. And as Peter Dille said in his recent post, we're truly flattered. So, while the legal eagles work out the details, we hope you can still enjoy the spots here on the blog.
