Disgaea 4 PS3 Japanese Translation Pre-Beta Version Patcher Out

1450°
151w ago - Following up on our initial release, we (Tidusnake666, Tobster7, Alexmagno) have now finally been able to fix Disgaea 4 Translation dialogue bugs.

That means, that apart from some menu entries, the game is all in English text (we decided to exclude sound patching option, because it's still asynched, so you'll have Japanese voices - if you don't like them - turn them off )

Yeah, you've read it right, now everyone can enjoy story! Dialogues, items, skills, pretty much everything is translated!

Instructions:

0. Make a backup of your Disgaea 4 JAP game (BLJS-10095), and place it somewhere, preferably on the root of the drive (there's no spacebar nor special chars problems, but it's more convinient this way), i.e - "C:\BLJS10095"

1. Donwload patcher (Pre-beta version) [Register or Login to view links] , extract it somewhere and run D4Trans.exe.

2. Ensure "Translate EBOOT" is checeked and the default START.DAT patching method is checked ("1: Glyphicate all"). Later, if you'll have some troubles you can always repatch it.

3. CLick "START!" and choose location of your...

Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland PS3 Translation v0.1 Out

1300°
154w ago - Today is a good day for Atelier-series fans! Similar to Disgaea 4 PS3 translation patch released earlier, Tidusnake666 on PS3 News has updated his work in progress and now shared a PS3 translation v0.1 of the Japanese version of Atelier Totori: The Alchemist of Arland 2.

Few thing to note before reading on:

  • Translation was done with Microsoft Translator API based program, so sometimes it, frankly saying, doesn't make sense. But, story messages are natively (officially) English, although there're some padding problems, but they do make sense.
  • Pretty much everything (skills, side-dialogues, locations, names, items, ingredients, even bestiary and much more) was parsed in translation, but approx.10% of text remained untranslated with original Japanese words. But I'm sure you can figure it out
  • Voice acting will be in Japanese (cons of Japanese EBOOT)
  • The game is fully untested, so there may be crashes, although I checked everything byte-by-byte.
  • If you don't like it, do it better!

Siren New Translation Demo Impressions

50°
334w ago - A while back, we broke the news to you that there will be a new Siren game coming for the Playstation 3, however, what was more interesting was the fact that Japanese Game Magazine Famitsu stated that the game could be released as soon as this summer with a demo planned for the end of April. Well, the demo certainly did arrive, and I had the pleasure to downloading it to give it a quick test drive.

Siren New Translation is a remake of the original game from back in 2003 for the Playstation 2. Now with the added power of the Playstation 3, Sony's Japan Studio can make the game they originally wanted to do back in 2003.

The first thing you will notice is that while the subtitles and tips that pops up on the screen are in Japanese, the voice acting is all in English, which makes understanding the game a whole lot easier for those of us who are not fluent in Japanese. You start as a character known as Sam Monroe. All you have on you is a flashlight, and by god, you need that flashlight.

The start of the demo is very, very dark. The only thing you can see is what your flashlight is glazing over. This sets the mood as very tense and creepy, and the excellent music playing really adds to the already creepy atmosphere. I then set off to look for the rest of the crew, and as I walked up the steps,...
