To quote: Greetings, fellow TETRIS enthusiasts! I'm here to deliver some very cool news about our TETRIS game on PlayStation Network.

Ever dreamed of being immersed in a multi-dimensional rain of falling Tetriminos? I know I have. Well, thanks to the wonders of 3D Television (and the EA Production Team); we can all finally live the fantasy.

We just launched one of our most impressive free TETRIS updates ever. TETRIS on PSN will finally be playable in 3D. Yes, you read that right - 3D!

To experience this new option, all you have to do is launch TETRIS on your PS3 and accept the update. That's it! It's available in North America and Europe and is only 75MB.

In addition to TETRIS on PSN boasting 5.1 Dolby Sound, 1080p HD graphics and six different play modes - you will now be able to play TETRIS on your snazzy 3D monitor.

We're really excited about this update and can't wait to compete in PS3-exclusive multiplayer modes, with Tetriminos in our faces!

131w ago - Today Slicer4ever has released a PS3 homebrew GameOS port of what he calls PS3Tetris for PlayStation 3 JailBreak users alongside a video of it in action from LiquidWater91.

From the video's caption: PS3Tetris for the PS3, this is homebrew, so will only run on an JailBroken PS3, uses ooPo's toolchain, and PSL1GHT making it completely legal =-), this also takes advantage of the GPU, using the RSX for all rendering, which is awesome.

131w ago - EA Mobile Senior Producer Christophe Gomez has posted up a new video today spotlighting Tetris PSN in 1080p and 5.1 with PS3-exclusive multiplayer action!

To quote: We are launching Tetris on PlayStation Network and it'll be available to download from the PSN store in very early next year.

This version of Tetris boasts 5.1 Dolby Sound, 1080P HD graphics, plus six online and local multiplayer modes.

Of course, you can play Marathon mode by yourself in the boldest and brightest graphics ever, but what we're really excited about are three new PS3-exclusive multiplayer modes that will make this a must-have.

I can't go into much detail, but these new online, real-time multiplayer modes will be more fun and competitive than anything you've seen before.





A couple of weeks ago Alexi Pajitnov, the original creator of Tetris, got to try out this new PS3 version and absolutely loved it. And since we know how excited you are, we have a trailer ready to showcase just how awesome this gets.
