169w ago - Today i3urn has shared news of a DIY PS3 Controller project featuring PlayStation 3 controller automation utilizing a Teensy 2.0++ Macro hexcode.

To quote: I have recently been able to use my Teensy 2.0++ as a macro controller for my PS3. I have used it to automatically start a B-Spec race, wait for the race to finish (~9 mins), then press the correct keys to get the race started again. [And repeat].

This project is made possible by Mathieu Laurendeau's source code for his diyps3controller project on [Register or Login to view links].

You may download and setup your development environment by following his instructions [Register or Login to view links].

After getting everything setup you may take a look at my PS3Controller.c file to get a feel for how to send buttons to the PS3. If you would like to learn more about sending different buttons/moving axis take a look in his usb_joystick.c file.

The zip file below will also contain TWO hex files for Teensy 2.0++ other devices will need to compile their own, one will press the X button every 11 seconds (useful in GT5 where you need your...

GT5: Grind A-Spec PS3 Project for Teensy Development Boards

550°
176w ago - This PS3 project might help someone out there to use their Teensy development boards for at least something, I call it my GT5: Grind A-Spec babysitter.

I got the idea from a mate of mine who used a keypad with paper wedged in to keep the enter key depressed and a controller with rubber bands and presstic. I don't own a usb keuboard or keypad, so I asked some questions and did some reading and this is the result.

Keep in mind I know nothing about programming and I can not help with other development boards.. although the code is very simple, I had to ask for advice.

Thanks to Paul at PJRC for doing the code for me.

1. Download and install Arudino Software
2. Download and install Teensy Loader
3. Download and install Teensyduino installer
4. Run the Teensyduino installer (You must select the location where you extracted the Arduino Software)
5. Run the Arudino software and the Teensy loader
6. Plug in the Teensy development board into a USB slot
7. Copy the following code into the Arduino software

PSGroove USB Boards and DIY Teensy Schematics Detailed

1000°
201w ago - With the release of PSGroove opensource PS JailBreak exploit for PS3, many are having trouble sourcing the required Teensy++, AT90USBKEY2 or AT90USB162 boards.

That said, today PS3JailBreak.com (linked above) has shared schematics for the Teensy so that users can build their own if they wish.

As always, click on the picture below to enlarge it folks.

Finally, those who aren't into DIY solutions may also wish to look into either the AT90 USB thanks to Fuddster or the BlackcatUSB Flash Memory Programmer (from version 1.2 on) which uses the same microcontroller (AT90USB162) as confirmed by chesteruhi. More on that soon, including a video!

To quote: "The full schematics are available below (1.0 are on the top 2.0 are on the bottom)."
