151w ago - Here is one from the rumormill, blackxino (linked above) has shared a leaked image of what is purported to be the first hint that Dead or Alive 5 is coming to Sony's PS3 entertainment system.
Pictured below, the alleged DOA5 main game menu image contains an 'X' and 'O' button indicating that it is playable on the PlayStation 3 console.
However, Dead or Alive 4 was exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox 360 so needless to say until Tecmo and Team Ninja confirm this it is purely speculation at the present time.
To quote: "Look at Image! PS3 controller buttons. I just obtained this leaked image, that is all. :P Don't ask me how I got it, let's just say through the hard work on this idea site.
Too bad I'm not a journalist so therefore I can't contact Tecmo Koei about this. If you are a journalist, do me (us readers) a favor and get in touch with PR of TK-A/TKE about this image.
The main thing is if Tecmo Koei sees the hit about this, they would consider announcing DOA 5 at Tokyo Game Show 2010 because people seem to be interested in DOA 5 even after it's long absence for 4 years."
154w ago - Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker was released this past June for PSP, however, despite Kojima Productions previously ruling out a PS3 port Hideo Kojima hinted at just that in a recent interview with French video game news site JeuxVideo.
Conducted at Japan Expo, Hideo Kojima briefly commented on the possibility of porting Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker from the PSP to the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.
To quote: "I can not say I'll do a direct conversion of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on Playstation 3.
However, this game was a challenge in terms of its development on the PSP for me and I probably will preserve the base of it. And if I had to port it to another console, I would add even more depth to the story."
175w ago - Roughly three months ago Braid was released on PS3 via PSN, however, recently I contacted creator Jonathan Blow and asked him about a possible port of the game to PlayStation 3 Linux.
To quote: I've asked Jonathan whether or not a Linux port of the game was in the works, since I've seen him hint at that in old posts on his blog (January 2007 and August 2008). I'm glad to say that he reported that a Linux port of the game was indeed being developed. To quote:
"[..] one is in progress but hasn't quite been completed, but may eventually be released."
He also said that the porting is about 95% complete, but I don't know how much time it will take for the remaining 5% to be completed, so maybe it will soon be available, maybe not, but this is great hope for the Linux community!
I also spoke with him a little about Open Source, and I was pleasantly surprised to see him not completely reject the idea of open sourcing his game, but he said "it is not likely at this time", so although it is not likely to happen, it is maybe another...

189w ago - A few weeks ago Amy Hennighinted that an Uncharted 3 PS3 game may be in the works.
Today the Official PlayStation Magazine (OPM) has added credence to her interview hinting that the game is indeed in the early stages of development.
To quote: In the latest Official PlayStation Magazine (December 2009, UK version), in the latest 'The Big 10' section, the guys over at OPM have asked Uncharted 2 Multiplayer designer Justin Richmond 'How do you top Uncharted 2?'. The answer, well it seems to all-but confirm that early work has begun on the sequel;
"Haha! More of it." he said "The guys back at the office are already starting to look at optimising the engine, getting more stuff on screen - all the stuff that we've done in this project that we could do better with."
