146w ago - Last week Sony released PS3 Firmware 3.41 which caused issues for PlayStation 3 HDD upgraders, followed by debunking the 3.41 problems only to quietly re-release a 'fixed' PS3 Firmware 3.41 update.

194w ago - Today Sony Corporate Communications & Social Media Sr. Director Patrick Seybold has announced that they are indeed aware of the issues present (freezing, lock-outs, etc) in PS3 Firmware 3.00, and are looking into fixing them as soon as possible.

To quote: "SCEA is aware of reports that PS3 owners are experiencing isolated issues with their PS3 system since installing the most recent system software update (v3.00).

194w ago - Even with the PS3 Firmware 3.0 official full changelog available, it appears there are some previously unmentioned extras surfacing in the update.

To begin, PSInsider (linked above) reports that an integrated connection speed test is now included... as pictured below.
