1400°
61w ago - Today Italian PlayStation 3 scene site BiteYourConsole has shared a guide on how to install multiMAN PS3 Themes via USB from a PKG file below.

To quote, roughly translated: Here is the program that allows us to download the theme directly in a PKG file and you can install through a pendrive.

Download: [Register or Login to view links]

The program was inspired by earlier work done on Bite that we allowed them to create the PKG file, the program was modified to allow an upgrade file that goes to save the theme within multiMAN.

Procedure

  • Drag the file.THM in the themes folder.
  • Click on theme.bat and wait the end of the process.
  • Copy the MM4PS3-BLES80608_00-MULTIMANAGER0440.pkg file on a usb stick and install on the PS3.

The program can also be used for the themes of the hcode123 mod and opium2k, but only about MultiMAN.

Finally, multiMAN Theme Control (32 and 64 bits) is an executable...

To quote: Maybe it's just my opinion, but the Install Package via multiman and other Install PKG application are not the greatest options.

Here's how to TRULY add back Install Package from the VSH directly like before in v3.41/v3.55 for CFW build's v4.30.

PS_Unban v0.1: PS3 3.55 Unban and 4.21 Unban PKG Files Arrive!

1500°
83w ago - Following up on my guide, the way I see it Sony will soon patch my console unban method, in my opinion it will be possible to work around the patch, I however won't release it publicly but below I give you PS_Unban v0.1 for 3.55 and v0.1.2 for 4.21 Firmware.

PS Unban is a tool to unban your PS3 on both 4.21 and 3.55 firmwares (different pkg's) (the 4.21 should work on both but meh), no console ID needed.

If it gets fixed i'll patch it a few times.

GUIDE:

Install either "PS_Unban v0.1(4.21).pkg" (UP0001-NOBAN0000_00-0000000000000000.pkg) OR "PS_Unban v0.1(3.55).pkg" on your PS3.

With this application, it is now possible to convert RIF files on the PlayStation 3 console to RAP files.

From mikufans: Hello, recently my friend released a tool: rif2rap. It does help those who want to share the rap. And there is no need to downgrade the PS3 concole to 3.55 to export the rap. Just run this rif2rap.exe, and get the rap.

Tested OK by some of my friends. The Tutorial is so easy that no need to explain here.
