92w ago - SCEE's James Gallagher has posted up a Ninja Gaiden 3 PS3 Gamescom 2011 video trailer and interview with Yosuke Hayashi today, as follows:
There are some people out there that will tell you modern games are too easy, that they hold your hand for ten hours of story and then wave goodbye until next year's sequel. However, there is growing number of titles, such as the upcoming Dark Souls, that are looking to punish you like a Victorian headmaster.
The Ninja Gaiden series has always been a renowned controller clencher and the third instalment in the series, coming to PS3 next year, includes PlayStation Move support. Here's the latest trailer:
At gamescom I caught up with the head of Team Ninja, Yosuke Hayashi, to discuss difficulty, PS Move and the decision to set the opening scenes of Ninja Gaiden 3 in my hometown, London.
Do you think that modern games are too easy and that there is a strong market for the very difficult?
You have to try to satisfy your fans and Ninja Gaiden 3 is still very difficult on the hardest setting for those fans who like that about...
92w ago - Today Ubisoft Community Developer Gabriel Graziani has shared a fresh Assassin's Creed Revelations PS3 trailer video from Gamescom 2011 below.
To quote: Gamescom, the world's largest trade fair for interactive games and entertainment, has begun in Cologne, Germany.
First off, on the show floor, the Assassin's Creed Revelations booth will feature EIGHT gaming pods equipped with a new multiplayer build.
This will be the very first time we're showing this build to the public, and it will be the first time anyone outside of exclusive members of the press can get their hands on the all new Deathmatch mode!
And don't worry if you can't wedge your way to the front of the line for multiplayer at our booth, because we'll also have four additional multiplayer pods at the PlayStation booth to ensure that everyone at the show gets a chance to enjoy a fully updated version of one of the most innovative multiplayer games on the market.
Can't get to Germany on such short notice? Fear not, Assassins, because we're also unveiling some all-new gameplay footage!
We're rolling out an all-new single-player gameplay trailer covering some fresh territory that we've only hinted at in previous coverage and further demonstrates...
92w ago - Insomniac Games Community Intern Brandon Winfrey shared a Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One PS3 update today complete with a new trailer video from Gamescom 2011.
To quote: Fun fact of the day: Trailers used to be shown at the end of a movie. Hence the name trailer. Because it trailed the mov- you know what, you probably got it.
Eventually, the marketing people woke up and realized that no one sticks around after a film, so they moved it to the beginning.
However, the name "trailer" stuck. Probably because the name "beginnier" is lamer than my 17th birthday (it involved a gluten-free cake and a Pauly Shore marathon - you do the math).
Nowadays, marketing people have gotten even savvier. You can watch a trailer - on the internet! Now you don't have to drain your 401k watching Jason Statham punch various objects and/or people just to get a glimpse at the trailer for whatever beacon of enjoyable entertainment that's on the horizon.
For instance, just by pressing that little triangle directly north of this text - you can see a new trailer for Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One. In it, you'll get a taste of all the mischievous co-op action that awaits you in our latest entry in this esteemed franchise. You can play nice...
96w ago - Playbrains Studio Director Scott Simpson has unveiled the first Sideway: New York PSN video trailer today alongside some hands-on details from Comic-Con 2011.
To quote: Sideway is our upcoming action platformer based on the in-development cartoon series from the wonderfully twisted minds at Fuel Entertainment.
Oh, did the screenshots convey that we have hours of mindbending levels full of danger and challenge that will make the paint run from your veins?
Or that we support drop-in, drop-out couch co-op so you can play with your friends or that the bosses in the game are unlike any you've come across in your gaming life before?
Did the shots at least convey the basic conceit of the game: that you painted over the wrong dude's tag, and that you, in fact, are now a moving 2D painting in a 3D world?
Regardless, if you're interested in seeing what all of the above is really like, we're just putting the finishing touches on a demo for Comic-Con this week in San Diego. Oh yes, my friends, that's right--when you come by Sony Online Entertainment at the Con (Booth #4436), not only can you check out the awesomeness that is Sideway, but you can also...

To quote: At this very moment, an army of hard-working team members are into the second day of presenting what is a true labor of love for IO Interactive - Hitman: Absolution.
The knowledge that millions of fans have been waiting for news on Hitman is making the guys give it everything they have to present a game that we're extremely proud of at IO. Lifting the veil on the development of a new game is always fun but given the connection between the studio and Hitman, this time it's more exciting than ever.

This time, he finds himself betrayed by the people he trusted and must use every skill and talent he has available to claw his way out of a dark conspiracy, which takes him through a corrupt world of twisted enemies.
