37w ago - Today /GriFFin reports that OxweB has apparently leaked the True Blue PS3 disc BCA codes (although curiously a source wasn't specified), however, they are now conveniently deemed useless as the DRM-infected USB dongle itself.

To quote: When the True Blue dongle first launched last year, it was originally using 'special' blu-ray discs to play games, instead of just DRMencoded eboots on the HDD.

But even after all the Paradox releases, there was a few games that only were available still on 'special' blu-ray discs. Over the course of last year, various groups try to figure out how to copy these discs, as they were sadly pirate stores that wish to sell them to their customers. Finally have much research the BD-Rom marks called 'BCA Codes' were figured out so they could by copied on normal blu-ray burner.

And now an person by the name 'OxweB' has leaked them onto the 'net, as basically they are useless now, but still it is part of sad scene PS3 history!

These are BCA codes off the TB discs (the barcode on the inner part of the disc).

Sony Portal Manager Emmanuel Orssaud has announced today that the PlayStation Official App v1.1 is coming soon from the iTunes and Android Market.

This new version will be available for download in a few weeks from iTunes and Android Market. Let's take a look at the new features and improvements.

In the MyPSN section you'll be able to order your friend list based on their online status and search for friends.

128w ago - Update: According to several members (including jensen76, evilsperm, and sk group) when you downgrade a PS3 with the Modified 3.41 PUP (below), it currently cripples the Blu-ray player functionality. Some additional PS3 Blu-ray fix updates are outlined HERE, however, a more stable solution is still being worked on.

To quote from garyopa on one work-around: "I was able to restore one machine I had, by copying over all the files I had in the /dev_flash2 and /dev_flash3 back to the HDD, that I had saved before when it was on v3.41"

131w ago - Today GamersMint.com (linked above) reports that an unofficial PS3 Cheat Device made by Code Freak is slated to hit Japan this winter.

The upcoming PS3 cheat code device is currently being marketed on Japanese site CyberGadget.co.jp for PS3 consoles on PlayStation 3 Firmware 3.41 or below.

To quote: "This device will be used with the PS3 and will cost around 7800 Yen (around $100 via Amazon).

Though the current firmware version for the PS3 is 3.50, this device will only be compatible with v3.41, as stated on the product's website.

It will be available for sale by the end of this year and is claimed to provide cheats for more than 50 titles at the moment, that includes FF XIII and Demon's Souls."
