100°
64w ago - Sixense Studios Creative Director Danny Woodall shared some video footage today announcing that Portal 2 In Motion is now offering a free Co-op PS3 campaign starting today.

To quote: Last December, you voted Portal 2 In Motion the Best Use of PlayStation Move. Sixense is grateful for your support. But we have been hearing one question from you: "Where's co-op?"

As a "thank you" from Sixense to the PS3 community, all owners of the Portal 2 In Motion DLC will receive Non-Emotional Manipulation, an all-new co-op campaign specifically designed for Playstation Move, for free.

We are deploying the patch today via PSN, so if you own the Portal 2 In Motion DLC you'll get this new co-op content for free, automatically.

If you don't own Portal 2 and Portal 2 In Motion yet, both the game and the DLC will be on sale for 20% off starting today on the PlayStation Store. PlayStation Plus members will receive an additional 40% off the sale price.

Non-Emotional Manipulation builds off of the new motion mechanics introduced in the previous Portal 2 In Motion single-player campaigns, but now with an added co-op twist.

You can play Non-Emotional Manipulation split-screen with two Playstation Move controllers, or online with a friend across the internet. And you...

Video: God of War: Ascension PS3 Single Player Campaign Demo

84w ago - Sony Community Strategist Aaron Kaufman at Santa Monica Studios has made available a new God of War: Ascension PS3 single player campaign demo video this weekend with details below.

To quote: Six months have passed since Kratos stood over the bodies of his wife and daughter, his hands stained with their blood - tricked by Ares into murdering the only people he ever loved.

Swearing to avenge them, Kratos broke the blood oath that bound him to Ares, but oaths to Olympus are not so easily broken. This is where your journey in the story of [Register or Login to view links] begins...

It has been well over six long, enduring months you've waited since your first look at our Ascension single-player campaign at E3 last year. So, as we get ready to close our multiplayer beta early next week, the time has come to focus on where Ascension and its story will take you this March. Here's your first glimpse:

This trailer is only a quick taste. You didn't think Ascension was only 30 seconds long, right?! We have more single-player details to unravel and showcase as we rage towards launch. Most...

Video: Resistance 3: Campaign Tour and PS3 Multiplayer Report

171w ago - Sony's Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman shared a PS3 Multiplayer report today alongside a fresh Resistance 3: Campaign Tour video available below.

To quote: Earth's cities lie silent. Mankind teeters on the brink of extinction. The Chimera have won. Six years after the Chimera invaded in Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 3 depicts a bleak world where the survivors have laid down their weapons and curled into seclusion to await the inevitable.

One such survivor is Joseph Capelli, last seen (spoiler!) executing series frontman Nathan Hale at the conclusion of Resistance 2. With Resistance 3's narrative focus shifting from military might to hometown heroism, the gaunt-looking Capelli stands in stark contrast to Resistance 2's square-jawed super soldier.

Having abandoned the fight to be with his wife and child, Capelli holes up in rural Oklahoma to evade Chimeran raiders and scavenge for ever-dwindling supplies.

A chance visit by xenobiologist [Register or Login to view links] reveals a desperate plan to destroy the Chimera in New York City, sparking a road trip through an American heartland warped by the Chimera's corrosive influence.

Video: Klei Details Challenges of Shank's PSN Co-Op Campaign

213w ago - Today [Register or Login to view links] Co-Founder Jamie Cheng has detailed the challenges of Skank's PSN co-op campaign as part of an EA video interview.

To quote: I'd like to share our journey leading up to our decision to include a co-op campaign in our new title, [Register or Login to view links] - and why we felt so strong about creating it as a separate mode altogether.

When Shank was shown at PAX 2009, there were two questions that I couldn't answer which came up over and over again. The first was, "What platform is it coming out on?" The second "is there going to be co-op?"

I answered the first question, with my own question. I stuffed our dev kit into a ghetto cardboard box, labeled with a large question-mark and strung a handful of controllers (including Atari and Dreamcast ones) from underneath it for added effect.

At the time, nobody had played Shank, and I didn't have platform approval yet. Thankfully, the gaming community and our fans spoke up, and I got my wish – we were able to negotiate a deal to bring the game to the PlayStation Network.

The second, co-op question - proved to be much trickier.

On one hand, we felt strongly about the classic, couch-play...
