The Sony Press Conference at the 2010 Games Developer Conference (GDC) will be streamed live on G4TV, and among other announcements it will likely include fresh details on the upcoming PlayStation 3 Motion Controller.
Below is a GDC 2010 video on it via GameSpot with SCEA's Rick Marks alongside tonight's broadcast details, as follows:
"G4TV.com will be streaming the entirety of Sony's GDC Press Conference starting at 7PM ET on Wednesday, March 10.
What does Sony have up their collective sleeve? We could see some possible game announcements, and a new demonstration of their new motion controller, but the only way to find out for sure is to tune in and watch it unfold live... so... do that.
Attack of the Show will be the only exclusive television coverage and will be breaking in live to the press event as well on Wednesday, March 10 at 7PM ET. If you feel like watching some of the press conference on your TV, then G4 once again has you covered."
203w ago - Update: Despite THQ CEO Brian Farrellrecently calling it Arc, according to Geoff Keighley's Tweet, to quote: "FYI I'm hearing Arc is NOT the name of the Sony Motion Controller, but a code name." However, Sony has registered the Arc trademark in Japan.
Today VG247.com (linked above) reports that according to a concrete source speaking under conditions of strict anonymity Sony's PS3 Motion Controller will be named PlayStation Arc, of which a domain has also been registered in the same name at PlayStationArc.com.
This news comes just over a month after the previous rumor that the PlayStation 3 Motion Controller was dubbed Gem, which ended up being an early code name for the product.
To quote: "The company is now saying its Motion Controller - the official name thus far - will release "this year": global boss Kaz Hirai had previously claimed it would be out this March.
