Video: Double Fine at PlayStation Experience: Play Grim Fandango

300°
6w ago - Double Fine Founder Tim Schafer shared a video today inviting fans to play Grim Fandango at PlayStation Experience.

To quote: Hello PlayStation Nation! The Bone Wagon is headed to Las Vegas!

We've got a shiny new build of Grim Fandango Remastered and we're bringing it to [Register or Login to view links]!

This is your last chance to get your hands on Manny before the game is released, so please come to the Double Fine booth and check it out. I'll be there too, loitering around, signing stuff, talking about the old days, and giving out free hugs. REMASTERED hugs.

Also, we'll be showing the game running for the very first time on PS Vita! It's a great way to play the game, and a beautiful little handful of bones. I'm not sure what that last phrase means, but it sounds poetic so I'm going to leave it in.

And hopefully there will be even more surprises once you get there! So come see Manny Calavera in the flesh! (In the bones? Well, you know what I mean.)

See you there, and... Viva la Revolucion!

Video: Destiny: Remote Play Hands-on for PS4 and PS Vita

16w ago - Sony Social Media Senior Manager Sid Shuman posted up a video today showcasing Destiny remote play hands-on for PS4 and PS Vita consoles.

To quote: Destiny is just days away! I wanted to share a quick video showing off its Remote Play experience, which enables you to wirelessly stream the game from your PS4 to your PS Vita.

I spent some time playing Destiny via Remote Play during the Beta and I was really impressed with not only how good it looked on PS Vita's vivid 5-inch screen, but also how responsive it was. The team over at Bungie actually optimized the controls for Destiny on PS Vita via Remote Play.

Check out the full control scheme (below).

One of the things we noticed during the week of the Destiny Beta was that a lot of PS4 owners were streaming Destiny to their PS Vitas via Remote Play.

In fact, Destiny was the No. 1 title for Remote Play during the entire month of July, racking up the most Remote Play sessions of any PS4 title.

Nidhogg is Coming to PS Vita: Cross-Buy, Online Play, and More

17w ago - Messhof LLC Co-founder Kristy Norindr confirmed today that Nidhogg is coming to PS Vita with Cross-Buy, Online Play, and more details below.

To quote: We are super stoked to announce that [Register or Login to view links] is coming to PS Vita, and it will be released simultaneously with the PS4 version!

It will be cross-buy, so if you grab one you'll get both the PS4 and PS Vita versions. How dope is that?!

If you haven't heard of Nidhogg yet, thats cool. Its been around the PC game world for a while, and at super awesome parties around the world. Its a two player fencing/fighting game where the ultimate goal is to get eaten by a massive pink dragon: the Nidhogg.

Nidhogg is pretty much the ultimate party game, but you can also practice in single player mode against an AI opponent or play with friends or randos online. When you inevitably have a Nidhogg party, there's a built in tournament mode for 3-8 players. We had some crazy [Register or Login to view links] tournaments at EVO.

You can also toggle a bunch of different variants on and off, or combine them for endless weirdness (baby mode + spine swords?).

The soundtrack consists...

Assault Android Cactus on PS4 and PS Vita: 8 Ways to Play

50°
20w ago - Witch Beam Artist / Programmer Tim Dawson announced today that Assault Android Cactus is hitting PS4 and PS Vita with 8 ways to play!

To quote: Hello! I'm Tim, the coder and art guy of Witch Beam, a three-person team making Assault Android Cactus which is heading to PS4 and PS Vita later this year.

Assault Android Cactus is an intense arena shooter in the arcade tradition where each character has an unlimited primary weapon that powers up over the course of the level and a sub weapon that works on a cool down.

Where a shmup might have different ships, we have different androids, and we had a lot of fun designing our eight characters and drawing on our favorite arcade influences to give them each their own feel and keep them fun to play.

Cactus, our games namesake, sports the classic vulcan style machine gun. Fast, precise, and - once it's leveled up - able to tear apart pretty much anything. Her secondary weapon is the flamethrower, a short range, high-damage weapon that burns through packs of enemies and puts big dents in boss health bars.

Holly's Seeker uses homing bullets - they lack punch but are easy to use and backed up by a slow traveling but destructive Cannonball to smash through enemy lines. Lemon uses the classic Spreadshot, when upgraded it has the...
