51w ago - Today Grip Games CEO Jakub Mikyska has shared the third installment in the Foosball 2012 developer series, this time spotlighting single-player and multiplayer options in a video demo for PS3 and PS Vita fans below.

To quote: Over the past couple of weeks we've taken you through the controls and cross-platform features, so this time we're going to dive into the multiplayer and single-player modes.

Real-world table football is the most fun when you play it with friends, and that's something we definitely took into account when developing Foosball 2012.

Up to four players can play locally at the same time, whether that's two for each team or other combinations like 1 vs. 1 or 2 vs. AI or 2 vs. 1 and so forth. It's also possible for some of the players to play with PlayStation Move and others with DualShock 3.

Online multiplayer is also present, of course. You can play alone, or join up with a friend locally and take on the world together. Every victory nets you experience points and boosts your global ranking, so be sure to check the leaderboards to see whether your friends are above or below you.





If you do prefer single player, the game's World Tour mode lets you face off against 29 A.I....

To quote: If you're in the San Francisco Bay Area, come by our community meetup tonight to go hands-on with Resistance: Burning Skies in a kill-or-be-killed multiplayer tournament!

If it's true that a shooter is only as good as its weapons, Resistance: Burning Skies is shaping up to be a delight indeed.

Take the Mule, a new double-barreled shotgun that dishes out devastating buckshot blasts and launches explosive bolts via its over-barrel crossbow. Or the ever-popular Auger, whose projectiles hungrily chew through walls to seek out warm flesh.

But my favorite gun so far is the lethal Hunter rifle, a long-range Chimeran burst-fire weapon with the ability to deploy an attack drone that you can guide towards your multiplayer foes with taps on the front touchscreen - tres sophisticated!

67w ago - Square Enix Community Manager Robert Peeler has posted up a video today spotlighting the multiplayer aspects of Army Corps of Hell for PlayStation Vita below.

To quote: It's not too often you see a game from Square Enix employ the use of death metal guitar, screamo vocals, and copious amounts of blood.

Army Corps of Hell brings a new level of action to PS Vita. After being defeated in battle, the King of Hell is burned down to a meager corpse, stripped of his powers, and banished from his throne.

He uses the last of his strength to take command of a legion of weak-minded yet bloodthirsty goblins to reclaim his throne.

To annihilate the demons of Hell, you'll control an army of up to 100 goblin soldiers with unique classes and abilities. In true Square Enix fashion, a new synthesis system lets you combine materials dropped by fallen foes to create new equipment for your troops.

Customized equipment can change your goblin soldiers' looks and upgrade the abilities. We're making use of the various features of the PlayStation Vita and we've implemented ad-hoc multiplayer.

76w ago - Today Team Ninja have shared multiplayer details on the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 3 title for PS3 and also Ninja Gaiden Sigma+ for the PlayStation Vita handheld.

To quote from Sony Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein: Earlier this week, Team Ninja set up a temporary dojo in San Francisco to share news and game time with Ninja Gaiden 3 and Dead or Alive 5 on the PlayStation 3.

Of particular note was the first hands-on demo of Ninja Gaiden 3's multiplayer offering in the form of 4v4 Team Deathmatch and Battle Royale modes.

It's a bold move to add a competitive multiplayer mode to a melee-based action game, and I struggled to think of a comparable product out there; it definitely stands on its own in the action genre. My favorite touch: when struck by a deathblow, you can fight off your attacker by mashing the buttons, and then choose to "die with honor" via seppuku.
