PS4 SDK & PS Vita Test Kit Activation Time Extended Screens Surface

11w ago - Following up on his previous PS4 Development Kit (DUH-D1000AA) and PS4 Testing Kit (DUH-T1000AA) leak, PlayStation 4 developer NetYaroze (via facebook.com/www.scedev.net) has recently made available some new PS4 SDK v1.0 and PS Vita Development Kit (PDEL-1001) / PS Vita Testing Kit (PTEL-1001) screenshots with hints that developers can extend (patch) the activation time on both consoles.

To quote: LOL... I never seen PS Vita Testing Kit! but think you may sell this unit for MIN. price Euro 400 EUR. ($ 500/600 USD) for Collectable Price.

F*ck the activation... can be patched! and I know people what do that. hahaha... yeah, that's what I was talking about!

LOL, same thing here! and can be done also on PS4 TEST Kit (Note: is not my picture, friend who worked on that sent me this one)

Btw, finally someone has realized that people need to work on these activation keys if need to do something with the New Generation DEV/Test kits! Note: Can be patched for a lifetime use.

PS Vita Dev Wololo Unveils VHBL Success with New PSP Game Exploit

Neur0n has been kind enough to share with me the details of his latest user mode exploit, so that I could help porting VHBL to his game on the EU and US versions (yes, the game seems to be available on all stores, and don’t stop reading here, it gets better).

Sometimes porting VHBL to a new game can be a pain in the rear. Many times, as I discovered the hard way, we hit a wall and have to give up after dozens of hours of investigation.

On this exploit too, had I been alone working on it, I would have given up. It seemed impossible to free most of the ram (VHBL basically needs to cleanly remove the game from the ram, in order to load homebrews instead), and the exploit ended up with about 2MB of free ram, instead of the 24MB that we usually expect.

But hey, that’s where comes the joy of working with talented people like Neur0n: he figured out, within 24hours, how to free the additional 22MB. I am not sure really how he found out, and why it works, but it damn works.

So I can proudly...
 

PS VitaTools v1.04 Arrives, ReadSELF and More Additions Included

125w ago - Following up on the previous builds, today PlayStation Vita developer deroad has updated PS VitaTools to version 1.04 which includes the addition of ReadSELF among the changes detailed below.
