17w ago - Guerrilla Cambridge Senior Producer Mark Green outlined how to survive the Killzone: Mercenary Multiplayer PlayStation Vita Beta below today.
To quote: We're just a few weeks away from the launch of Killzone: Mercenary, but gamers won't have to wait that long to cut their teeth on Mercenary's impressive multiplayer suite.
The team here at Guerrilla Cambridge is expanding the multiplayer beta to give the servers a good test before Mercenary launches on September 10th in North America for PS Vita.
For North American users, the Open Beta for Killzone: Mercenary will be made available to PlayStation Plus subscribers on August 20th (after the Store update). Those of you who went out of your way to acquire special beta access vouchers - Perhaps through a certain promotion on PS Home? - will also be granted early access!
Then, on August 27th (after the Store update), the beta will open up further to become available to all North American PS Vita owners, coming to a close on September 3rd.
Surviving the Beta
Mercenary boasts a number of unique modes, innovative gameplay mechanics, and introduces a daily ranking system to make Mercenary the most advanced, addictive multiplayer experience on PS Vita.
19w ago - Sony PlayStation Public Relations Manager Aram Jabbari revealed today that the Killzone: Mercenary MP Open Beta for PS Vita arrives in late August while the Closed Beta is live now.
To quote: We're excited to announce that the Killzone: Mercenary closed multiplayer beta (for which signups were held a short while ago and already concluded, if you're just tuning in now) is now LIVE. To those who got in, you should already have the necessary information to jump in and get going.
Note: If you received a multiplayer Beta voucher as part of the promotion via PlayStation Home, please note that your voucher is for the Open Beta in late August, not for the closed Beta launching today.
To those of you who didn't get in or are just hearing about this now, worry not: we're going to open the multiplayer beta right on up in late August - details will be coming really soon, so stay tuned.
And really, who doesn't like a good open beta? They're a bit draftier. They let in more natural light. Better for Agoraphobes and such.
Killzone: Mercenary hits shelves in North America on September 10th, 2013.
22w ago - Guerrilla Cambridge Senior Producer Mark Green announced today that Killzone: Mercenary Closed Multiplayer Beta PS Vita sign-ups are now live.
To quote: Sign-ups for the Killzone: Mercenary closed beta start today! Enter here for a chance to be selected as one of the few participants in the exclusive multiplayer closed beta.
Candidates have until 2:00PM PDT on Wednesday, July 17th to sign up for the public's first look at Mercenary's impressive multiplayer package. If chosen to participate, you will receive an email with directions on how to get started.
Mercenary's multiplayer suite will provide players with a diverse range of weapons, grenades, armor, and special VAN-Guard devices enabling the player to customize their multiplayer load-out slots. No matter your tactical approach, Mercenary's multiplayer beta will give gamers an early look into the power and promise of PS Vita as the optimal handheld platform for first-person shooters.

I think it's safe to say that a good time was had by all, and the participants gave us invaluable feedback on some tweaks that will end up giving you all really great experience when LBP Karting hits store shelves later this year.
The LBP franchise has always had a strong community element so it was great to have the people we're making the game for in our studio face to face talking through their creative ideas and processes. At the end of the day, this level of interaction...
