This Thursday, December 8th, we will release the latest update to the PlayStation Home client.
PlayStation Home version 1.60 delivers a wealth of improvements and updates to the core client, not the least of which is a doubling of the item placement limit in personal spaces!

How to Apply the v1.60 Patch
If you are upgrading from an old version of Home (v1.40 or earlier) then when you attempt to apply the v1.60 patch please wait for the orange "hard drive activity" light to stop flashing on your PS3 before commencing the patching process.
• Furniture Placement Limit
• We have doubled the furniture placement limit in personal spaces and clubhouses from 50 to 100 items.
• Standard and active furniture limits have been merged into the same system. Currently all actives take up 22 furniture slots in the new system. Thus you can now place a variety of different combinations:
• 100 standard furniture items or...

As we announced last Friday, tomorrow we will be releasing a new version of the PlayStation Home client: 1.4 is here!
In addition to the features already announced - new wardrobe, grouping, and voice chat - there are several other noteworthy improvements and additions.
First amongst those is the new Character Status settings, enabling you to set a status from a variety of new options including Happy, Sad, Busy and more! Even better, many of these status options will adjust your avatars facial expression and idle animations to match.
Other changes coming with 1.4 include improvements to the menu pad and Navigator, which can now be accessed directly by holding down the Start button. With the new cross-game invite support, you can invite your friends to join you in Home more easily than ever before.

To quote: Today I can finally announce a release date for the newest client update for PlayStation Home and also share some of the exciting new and revised features!
So, without further ado: PS Home client update 1.4 will be released during maintenance next Thursday, 11th November. Once maintenance is complete, you'll be able to update your client and begin enjoying new ways of experiencing PS Home.
