91w ago - Several days ago we received word from a PlayStation 3 developer known as HDMadness of his PS3 ErmaC 4.30 CFW v1.0 Custom Firmware, which has since been tested, updated again and retested and now on version 1.1 with several bug fixes and [Register or Login to view links] protection disabled for those with PS3 Hardware Flashers only.

Warning: Although tested, it is still advised that only users with PlayStation 3 Hardware Flashers attempt to install this PS3 Custom Firmware or you may end up bricking your PS3 console!

Sony Extends AllClear ID Plus Identity Theft Protection Offer

160w ago - Sony's Senior Director of Corporate Communications & Social Media Patrick Seybold has announced today they are extending the AllClear ID Plus Identity Theft Protection offer through July 31, 2011.

To quote: A friendly reminder to all eligible PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders, Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment International have made arrangements with Debix, Inc., one of the industry's most reputable identity protection firms, to offer AllClear ID Plus at no cost for 12 months from the time an account holder registers for the program.

This AllClear ID Plus Identity Theft Protection offer in the United States has been extended through July 31, 2011.

The details of the program include, but are not limited to:

• Cyber monitoring and surveillance of the Internet to detect exposure of an AllClear ID Plus customer's personal information, including monitoring of criminal web sites and data recovered by law enforcement.

If his/her personal information is found, the customer will be alerted by phone and/or email and will be provided advice and support regarding protective steps to take.
