29w ago - Sony Senior Community Specialist Kristine Steimer shared a preview today of March's PSN Instant Game Collection for 2014 with details below.

To quote: Let's take a look at what you're going to get in March with your PlayStation Plus membership. To start, PlayStation 4 owners can enjoy the Apocalypse Edition of the critically acclaimed PS3 twin-stick zombie shooter, Dead Nation.

The PS4 version includes updated visuals and controls, as well as a sweet interactive broadcast mode, so hit that "Share" button when you start playing!

PS3 owners get Tomb Raider, one of last year's most praised titles. This reboot showcases Lara's transformation from a recent anthropology graduate to a battle-hardened adventurer as her expedition crashes on a mysterious island. You'll hunt animals, upgrade weapons and choose perks to increase Lara's chances of survival.

Also on PS3: Thomas Was Alone, an adorable puzzle platformer that showcases the camaraderie of artificial intelligences depicted as various shapes, and Lone Survivor: Director's Cut, a 2D adventure style survival horror game. Bonus! Thomas Was Alone and Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut are Cross-Buy titles, so you'll get both the PS3 and PS Vita versions of those games.

For PS Vita this month, you get Unit 13: a third-person...

Sony Shares PlayStation Plus: February 2014 Video Game Preview

33w ago - Sony Senior Community Specialist Kristine Steimer shared a PlayStation Plus February 2014 video game preview below today, as follows:

Typically when you think of February, your mind goes to chocolates, flowers, and other lovey-dovey things. So we thought we'd celebrate this sappy month by scaring the bejesus out of you with Outlast on PS4.

We also have some great single-player PS3 experiences, including Metro: Last Light, a first-person shooter with an interesting take on morality, and Remember Me, a third-person action adventure where you'll take down an evil corporation by beating lots of people up with your own unique combos and messing with people's memories.

If you have a significant other, you might be able to rope him or her into some bank-robbing action with Payday 2 on PS3. After all, everyone likes stealing stuff. I mean, uh nevermind.

Finally, two PS Vita titles are joining the Instant Game Collection: Street Fighter X Tekken and ModNation Racers: Road Trip. Both include functionality with their respective PS3 versions. Fight against your friends in Street Fighter X Tekken no matter what platform they have, or download your previously made PS3 creations and use them in ModNation Racers: Road Trip.

Video: Sportsfriends: Pass the Hokra - PSN Preview Arrives

94w ago - Creator Ramiro Corbetta has introduced Sportsfriends: Hokra today complete with a PSN preview video for fans below.

To quote: I'm Ramiro Corbetta, creator of Hokra, one of the four games that make up Sportsfriends.

If you don't know about Sportsfriends, it's a compendium of four super fun local multiplayer games that's coming to PSN in 2013. Over the last couple of weeks, two of the other designers involved in Sportsfriends spoke about their games (you can read about Noah Sasso's BaraBariBall and about Bennett Foddy's Super Poler Riders), and today I get to write about my game.

Hokra is a minimalist sports game for two teams of two players. Players score points by holding the balls in the goals of their color on the corners of the screen. This video I did with Kotaku does a great job of explaining the basics of the game:

The rules are quite simple, but the game has a lot of depth to it. Even though I have played it for innumerable hours, I'm still finding new techniques and strategies when I play against expert competition.

When I started working on Hokra, I wasn't exactly making a game. I had been playing lots of FIFA, and like many other people, my favorite part of the game is...

Video: Dishonored Preview: Cloak and Dagger for PlayStation 3

125w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has posted up a Cloak and Dagger video preview today of the upcoming PlayStation 3 title Dishonored for fans below.

To quote: Some games have problems with bugs, but this game has trouble with rats. Big, evil ones that prowl in packs and can rend a man's flesh from his screaming bones.

But killer rats are the least of your worries in the dark world of Dishonored, an imaginative action-adventure from Arkane Studios and Bethesda coming to PS3 later this year.

The game nimbly blends inspirations from a pantheon of modern classics: The oppressive atmosphere and paranoid politicking of BioShock, the graceful bloodletting of Assassin's Creed, the murky morality of Deus Ex, the stealth and shadow of Thief.

This is a game about skulking in dark places, eavesdropping on secret conversations, setting up the perfect ambush and beating a hasty retreat.

You play as Corvo, an elite royal bodyguard wrongly accused of assassinating the Empress of Dunwall. Locked in a prison and left to rot, you're sprung by a shadowy benefactor and set loose to claim your revenge in whatever manner you see fit.

Though Corvo is a convincing protagonist the...

137w ago - PlayStation Network Executive Producer Kevin Furuichi has posted up a sneak peek preview video today of The Tester 3: Premiere Episode below.

To quote: With only one week until the season 3 premiere of The Tester on February 7, it's time to give you a sneak peek at what you'll be seeing in the first episode of the season, and a taste of what's to come in future episodes.

We have a lot in store this season, and we don't want to ruin any surprises, but today's preview should give you a good idea of what challenges this season's group of contestants will be tackling as they vie for a chance to work as a Production Associate at Santa Monica Studio.

With hissing cockroaches, brutal obstacle courses, and much more standing in their way of the grand prize, our contestants this season will have their work cut out for them.

As always, you can get acquainted with this season's cast, panelists, and special guests on our site here. Keep an eye out next Monday, February 6 for the full premiere announcement, and be sure to tune on Tuesday, February 7 for the season 3 premiere of The Tester on PlayStation Network!
