132w ago - SCEE Blog Manager James Gallagher has shared a video clip today of the Tron: Legacy PlayStation 3 premiere in London.

To quote: Few films evoked the spirit of arcade gaming like the original Tron movie back in the 80s and its sequel, Tron: Legacy, is looking to capture the imaginations of 21st Century gamers with lavish special effects, fast-paced action and some of the best use of stereoscopic 3D I've seen.

Last night I attended the UK premiere in London and managed to grab a couple of pictures on my mobile phone (sorry about the quality). The first is outside the cinema and the second is inside, as the director and the cast spoke to the audience.

I enjoyed it, especially how the 3D effect ramped up when you're in the 'Tron' world; a stellar soundtrack from Daft Punk; a surprise appearance from on of my favourite actors, Michael Sheen; and the 'digital de-aging' of Jeff Bridges, showing how spookily real CG face animation has become.

The film goes out to cinemas on general release on 17 December and the game, Tron: Evolution, was released on PlayStation 3 last week.

146w ago - Guerrilla Games Producer Aryeh Loeb has revealed today that the Killzone 3 PS3 Multiplayer hands on will be premiering at PAX 2010.

To quote: If you're heading to the 2010 Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, Washington this weekend, we've got a bit of a treat for you: Killzone 3 will be there, and YOU can go hands-on with the game's multiplayer mode!

This will be the first time the Killzone 3 multiplayer mode is accessible to the public, so we're really anxious to hear what you think. To make sure as many people as possible get a shot, we've got 16 multiplayer pods set up, with 8v8 matches rolling over constantly.

On top of that there'll be seven single-player pods available, three of which sport glorious 3D! We'll be giving away Killzone swag bags at the booth so make sure you get down there early since quantities are limited.

So be sure to visit the Killzone 3 booth at PAX 2010 (that'd be the one patrolled by Helghast Troopers), to get your first taste of the game's single and multiplayer modes. And bring your buddies, because Brutal Melee is also part of the package.

We are very excited to announce that as of today, PlayStation Network will offer movies and television programs from NBC Universal. Universal Pictures has a huge lineup of new releases, including MILK and ROLE MODELS, and other favorites like THE 40-YEAR OLD VIRGIN and THE BIG LEBOWSKI.

Today's announcement makes PlayStation Network the premiere platform for downloading your favorite content from all the major movie studios.

You've been asking for it, and now we have it... NBC's THE OFFICE, HEROES and 30 ROCK as well as Sci Fi's BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and EUREKA are also available starting today. New episodes will be added the day after they air, in both HD and SD.
