Video: Bubble-popping RPG Supermagical Coming to PS3 and PS Vita

50°
46w ago - Tama Games Producer Alan Crane shared a video today on the bubble-popping RPG Supermagical which is coming to both PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: Hello everyone. My name is Alan Crane from Tama Games, and I am the producer of Supermagical, writing to you now here to tell you about our upcoming PSN title.

With Supermagical, we wanted to create a classic bubble-popping game and the traditional, yet with ever-so enticing RPG (Role Playing Game) elements.

You will be able to unlock mighty allies, level them up with awesome power-ups, create new spells, acquire special items to advance your abilities as well - and the rest I'd like to save for you guys to find out!

If you are on the fence about this unorthodox combination of bubble-popping and RPG don't fret. We wanted this to be a fun and memorable experience for everyone. Everyone involved in this game is a true gamer with a strong passion for making games that every gamer and non-gamer would enjoy playing.

We make sure the games we make are those we would enjoy playing ourselves. There are no big firms or big bags of cash exchanging hands here - without mentioning any names, but there is more than one of us still indwelling the parent's basement and working from there. We are doing this basically...

109w ago - Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited Content Producer Katy Macdonald has interviewed CEO Suda51 of Grasshopper Manufacture today who officially announced that Lollipop Chainsaw is hitting PS3 on June 15, 2012.

Below is the interview, to quote: On way our over to the [Register or Login to view links] booth to check out superhero brawler Injustice: Gods Among Us and the zombie-blitzing Lollipop Chainsaw, we got a last minute phone call: [Register or Login to view links] Goichi [Register or Login to view links] Suda had arrived at [Register or Login to view links], would we like to interview him?

Seeing as this was the creative director behind such PlayStation classics as Killer7 and Shadows of the Damned, not to mention the forthcoming Lollipop Chainsaw itself, it was too good a chance to miss!

Here's what Suda51 had to say about the game, working with the creator of the Resident Evil series and his creative processes.

Where do you get the inspiration from for your off-the-wall characters?

Suda51: Well, first of all I think about gameplay and a story. I could be taking a bus somewhere and spot an interesting old man walking down the street....

PopCap Games Confirms Bejeweled 3 Glimmers on PSN Tomorrow

50°
116w ago - PopCap Games Director of Editorial and Social Media Jeff Green has confirmed that tomorrow Bejeweled 3 will glimmer for fans on PSN.

To quote: I've got some good news for Bejeweled fans: We stopped watching kitten videos, fixed the hamster wheel, and are now happy to report that Bejeweled 3 is finally coming to PlayStation Network! Huzzah!

Now if you've played Bejeweled 1 or 2 before, you may be asking why you should upgrade to Bejeweled 3. "How much different could they make a Match 3 game?" you may ask.

"What do I do this time- Match 4?" "Do I really need to give those clowns more of my money just to swap more gems?"

I'm going to be perfectly honest with you: Yes, you do. I mean, "need" is such a relative word, when you think about it. I mean, sure, I suppose some of you "need" to pay the rent, or feed your family, rather than buy the new Bejeweled. Whatever.

Frankly, the landlord can probably wait a few days, and I'm sure there are plenty of leftovers in your fridge if your family starts whining at you while clutching their swollen, distended stomachs. Meanwhile, those gems in Bejeweled 3 aren't going to swap themselves, are they? No sir. No, they are not. I rest my case.

But perhaps you want a few details on what it is you're actually buying...

PopCap Games: Plants vs Zombies for PS Vita Hits PSN Today

300°
125w ago - PopCap Games Director of Editorial and Social Media Jeff Green has announced that Plants vs Zombies for PS Vita is hitting PSN today with details below.

To quote: I know it's been over a year since we last spoke, and I am sorry about that. I've just been really busy and haven't had time to write, and I swear I have not been cheating on you with the Xbox blog or anything.

Anyway, now that the awkwardness is out of the way and we're friends again, I am here to tell you that I have another exciting announcement for you! Plants Vs Zombies is coming to your brand-spankin' new PS Vita today! Yay!

If you have never played our action-puzzler – that pits a horde of horticultural heroes against a mob of fetid, undead, brain-eating zombies - there is no better time than now. The PS Vita version is darn near the most perfect version of Plants Vs Zombies yet, taking advantage of the handheld console's touchscreen and internal motion sensors.

And if you have played it before, well, why not play it again?

Think of it as training for the real zombie apocalypse, which, not to be too much of a bummer here, could be coming any day now. Why be one of the unfortunate ones who end up in some undead guy's brain sandwich? Do the responsible thing and prepare now with our game!...
