PlayStation Vita Memory Cards Dumped by Mr.gas and Tomtomdu80

5d ago - Today Wololo reports that PS Vita hackers mr.gas and tomtomdu80 have dumped Sony's PlayStation Vita Memory Cards with details below.

To quote: Progress on the native side of the Vita hacks is rare, so news like the one we are seeing today is always welcome:

Talk member mr.gas announced today that him and tomtomdu80 (whom you might remember for his VHBL port on Apache Overkill last year) were able to dump the contents of a PS Vita memory card. Although they are not sharing this content publicly for obvious reasons, they have given reasonable proof that their work is totally legit.

This is the first time we see such a dump being announced publicly, since developer katsu released technical documentation on how to copy Vita game cartridges' content more than 6 months ago. Keep in mind that his announce was for game cartridges, while we are talking of a memory card here.

Sony uses proprietary memory cards on the PS Vita, which makes them virtually impossible to read without any additional hardware.

Additionally, it is believed the content...

Video: Metrico on PS Vita Dated, New PlayStation Vita Trailer Out

2w ago - Digital Dreams Level Designer Roy van de Mortel confirmed today alongside a PlayStation Vita video trailer that Metrico on PS Vita arrives on August 5, 2014.

To quote: Hi fellow PlayStation enthusiasts! We're finally ramping up to the release of our first big title, the infographics action game [Register or Login to view links]. We got loads of questions during development, which we are really excited to finally answer in this blog post!

One of the most frequently asked question is; when is Metrico coming out? We're proud to announce that Metrico will be available on PlayStation Network August 5th in the US, exclusively on PS Vita!

Another frequent question was: "Who did the awesome music?" You're in the right place to find out as well! But the most frequent question was the request for Metrico gameplay footage. We want to start this post by giving you exactly that:

Showing Metrico gameplay

The main reason we took such a long time to show gameplay footage is because we always felt the main mechanics of Metrico are quite tricky to explain through video. We never got around to solving this, even though this is probably a recurring issue for novel game concepts.

Video: The Origin of Titan Souls on PS4 and PlayStation Vita

4w ago - Acidnerve's Mark Foster shared a video trailer today showcasing the origin of Titan Souls on PS4 and PlayStation Vita with details below.

To quote: Armed with a single, indestructible arrow, Titan Souls on PS4 and PS Vita drops you into the midst of a desolate world you have no knowledge of.

Exploration will soon reveal the hiding places of the Titans that reside here, and it's your job to take them down.

Tense, punishing boss battles are a love of ours that we think a lot of gamers share. These kind of battles are the very core of the gameplay in Titan Souls. There are no health bars - a single strike will end your life, and a single hit to a Titan's weak spot is all you'll need to pull off a kill.

It's not as simple as it sounds, however - each Titan is completely unique, with its own threatening move set and its own hidden weakness to be exposed. It's a challenging game, and we're not going to help you out with any overt tutorials or prompts either - you'll need to observe carefully and figure things out for yourself. Whilst simultaneously managing to survive. Maybe we're just horrible people.

The idea was born out of a Ludum Dare jam game of the same name that we made in a weekend...

Video: Beatshapers Announce Z-Run Out Today on PlayStation Vita

5w ago - Beatshapers Founder and CEO Alexey Menshikov announced alongside a fresh video that Z-Run is out today on PlayStation Vita.

To quote: Hi everyone. We're very pleased at Beatshapers to announce that Z-Run is out today on PS Vita. We initially announced Z-Run in 2013, but we've spent a lot of time refining the game to provide the best possible experience for the loyal PS Vita fanbase.

Z-Run thrusts you into a world that has fundamentally been overrun by a virus that has mutated people into flesh eating zombies that will do anything for their next meal.

Z-Run includes two game modes including a story and a survival mode, with the story mode seeing your chosen character attempting to escape the city one level at a time, while the survival mode tasks you to hold out for as long as you possibly can against the hordes of zombies with gradually increasing quantities of obstacles and zombies.

Our game features two characters, three unique environments, and twelve deadly weapons. There is a male (Alex) and female (Clair) character that can both be customized and upgraded via points that are earned from the XP and levelling up system, with the points being awarded for successfully completing a level.
