Q-Games Shares New Gameplay Details on The Tomorrow Children

50°
2d ago - Q-Games Ltd President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert shared new PS4 gameplay details today on The Tomorrow Children for PlayStation 4 below.

To quote: I'm excited to be at TGS announcing more news about The Tomorrow Children. As we continue to build and perfect The Tomorrow Children's open world concept, we wanted to expand upon the details we revealed at Gamescom and share more about the game.

The Tomorrow Children is an online game, combining synchronous and asynchronous gameplay. This is to encourage a fresh style of play. If you just want to explore by yourself you can and other players can't see you.

But if you want to interact with other players, your actions in the world will begin to pop up in their worlds. The world itself is synchronized too, so your interactions appear in both your own world and theirs.

For example: if you dig a hole, that hole will be dug in the same place for other players in their world. It's pretty interesting to see people working together within this system, digging out to find resources and using them to build up their towns together.

People have asked what kind of roles players can assume in the game. The Tomorrow Children is a sandbox but there are some loosely defined roles you can take on such as Radio Officer which...

2w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements is here with the new PlayStation and PSN games for the upcoming week today, as follows:

We've been waiting for this one, friends. At last, the Guardians of the Tower are rising to face the darkness spreading across the frontier. It's time to gear up in Bungie's latest science-fiction opus as Destiny launches this Tuesday for PS4 and PS3.

In Destiny, players defend the last city on Earth from an encroaching threat, using astounding weaponry and ancient power to dispatch the enemies of humanity. Destiny fuses the thrill of a first-person shooter with the loot-hunt of classic RPGs and the social togetherness of an MMO.

Traverse forgotten ruins, forge new friendships, sail the black sky, and build an armory worthy of legend. And PlayStation gamers have exclusive access to guns, gear, ships, and multiplayer maps along the way. So pack a nice lunch - interstellar travel lasts a long time.

3w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements is here with the new PlayStation and PSN games for the upcoming week today, as follows:

What a weekend! Not only do some folks in the United States have a little extra time to play video games over the holiday, but it's PAX Prime 2014!

What better way to celebrate than getting ready for an interstellar mission teeming with teleportation, alien baddies, and super-cool effects? Velocity 2X is coming to PS4 and PS Vita this week.

Velocity 2X tasks players with outrunning and outsmarting the evil Vokh in white-knuckle space combat. Pilot your ship through precarious mazes, and head on-foot for even more up-close-and-personal challenges.

Master the use of your teleporting to blink through missions with blinding speed, and accomplish objectives with the steady thump of a sci-fi ready soundtrack. Velocity 2X is cross save, cross buy, and free for PlayStation Plus.

But that's not the only good news! Fan-favorite survival game Don't Starve comes to Vita this week, alongside Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. For the full list of new games coming to the world of PlayStation, read on. And enjoy the Drop!

Video: Metro Redux for PS4 by 4A Games Out Today on PlayStation 4

50°
4w ago - 4A Games Studio Rep Bi50N made available a PS4 launch trailer video announcing that Metro Redux is officially out today on PlayStation 4.

To quote: It doesn't seem that long ago that we were revealing Metro Redux to the world - today we're incredibly proud to announce the launch of Metro Redux for PS4!

The entire team at 4A Games has been working for a year on this project, under some incredible circumstances (as anyone who has followed the news coming out of Ukraine will know).

Metro Redux includes both Metro: Last Light and the prequel Metro 2033, which has never been available on a PlayStation console until now.

We completely rebuilt Metro 2033 in our latest engine, and managed to get both games to run at 1080p, targeting 60fps on PS4. You can try each game individually via PlayStation Store for $24.99, or get both together in the retail Metro Redux double pack.

From everyone at 4A, thanks for all the support we've received this year - we hope you enjoy what we think is the definitive Metro experience.

To celebrate the launch, we put together a new trailer.

Video: Hello Games on No Man's Sky - A Whole Universe to Explore

4w ago - Hello Games Managing Director Sean Murray shared details below today on No Man's Sky proclaiming it's a whole universe to explore on PlayStation 4!

To quote: Hello PlayStation.Blog! I'm Sean Murray, and I work at a little indie studio in the UK, making a game called [Register or Login to view links] on PS4.

I'm writing this on a plane back from Gamescom, where we showed some press the game behind closed doors.

We've only done three days where we've talked to press about the game so far (two at E3 and one at the VGXs last year), but for an indie game we've had lots of interest and excitement. Something I'm still struggling to get my head around.

So much so that I didn't actually want to go to Gamescom! We've never actually shown any European press the game though, and we felt bad about that.

PlayStation provided a room and I gave a hundred press a demo of the game for an hour, together with a really rambling presentation... where I apparently never looked up at the crowd once.

I can't really remember what I said, but I guess I wanted to share some stories from development, and I thought maybe you'd find them interesting, too.

We tell people...
