400°
6m ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements is here with the new PlayStation and PSN games for the upcoming week below, as follows:

It's a special week in the world of PlayStation, as the legendary adventure game Grim Fandango returns to the spotlight in a gorgeous, remastered edition for PS4 and Vita. Welcome back, Manny!

In Grim Fandango Remastered, players are (re)introduced to Manny Calavera, a travel agent working at the Department of Death. Manny sells travel accommodations to souls on their way to eternal rest, until he gets tugged into a conspiracy that's a little more high stakes than just "life or death."

Grim Fandango has been meticulously enhanced with a new lighting system, higher resolution assets, and even remastered audio to sweeten an already spectacular score. For old fans and newcomers alike, Grim Fandango is required playing in this curriculum we call video games.

Speaking of the dead - or the undead, in this case - Dying Light arrives on PS4 with an open-world apocalypse. Traverse massive environments littered with infected in order to survive. Gather items, craft weapons, and outrun all the hungry zombies that have unanimously elected you as their next meal.

There's more games coming, though, so read on for the full list. And as always,...

PS4 Slim Pictures Surface, PlayStation 4 Slim Rumor Remains Unconfirmed

1250°
1d ago - Following up on the previous PS4 Slim rumors, some leaked pictures of a purported PlayStation 4 Slim have now surfaced although many speculate they are not real leaving the rumor unconfirmed.

Below are the details, roughly translated (via multiplayer.it/notizie/143943-emergono-alcune-presunte-immagini-della-playstation-4-slim.html?piattaforma=ps4) to quote: "Preceded by curious codename Monolith, have emerged new images of the PlayStation 4 Slim, whose authenticity is still, however, all be confirmed.

The set, photographed from the screen of a laptop, would show the shape and size of the console, incredibly small compared to the original, and the displacement of the disc slot.

Obviously we are in the tortuous territory of rumors, Sony has not announced anything, but in view of the false is a work done extraordinarily well, even considering the idea of adding buttons to push and not touch.

What is doubtful, however, leaves the size so small in relation to the internal components. We...

Silence: The Whispered World 2 PS4 Coming Soon to PlayStation 4

700°
2d ago - Daedalic Entertainment Game Director Uli Wanitschke announced today that Silence: The Whispered World 2 PS4 is coming soon to PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: Hi! Our names are Uli Wanitschke, Game Director for Silence, and Marco Hullen, Lead Designer of the game. Together with a team of approximately 20 highly talented developers, we're making Marco's concept for Silence: The Whispered World 2 become a reality.

We're all huge adventure game fans here at Daedalic Entertainment. We grew up with the likes of Monkey Island, and we all feel that the genre is alive and well. However, we also believe there's a lot of room for modernization within the genre, while at the same time not abandoning its roots.

What springs to mind first is Silence's visual style. At Daedalic, we have an incredible art department, drawing beautiful backgrounds, locations etc. We used to show these in 2D games. For Silence, however, we now use 3D technology, by following a method we call "camera projection."

We place 3D objects and 3D characters in 3D environments, but then project 2D art on everything. Marco calls this 'three-dimensional artwork' when creating all these magnificent backgrounds.

This procedure allows us to maintain the high detail level of our hand-drawn art,...
