13w ago - Guerrilla Games Senior Producer Steven Ter Heide has announced that Killzone: Shadow Fall is coming for PlayStation 4 / PS4 with a video trailer below!
To quote: Today we are happy we can finally show you what we have been working on.
It has been an amazing journey for us so far, being offered the opportunity to be a launch title for the new PlayStation, and the subsequent mild panic to figure out how to best handle all of that.
But being able to now share it with you is both a scary and proud moment. We are hoping you will like what we have created, and are happy to present you with the first glimpse of Killzone Shadow Fall.
The piece of live gameplay we presented at the PlayStation Meeting 2013 shows you a new world, a new situation and a new hero.
The game is set in a near future, thirty years after the events of Killzone 3. The world is a very different place; two rival factions known as the Helghast and the Vektans live side by side in a futuristic city, divided by a vast wall.
Tensions are high, and the cold war they are embroiled in is about to go hot. In the midst of this all stands a Shadow Marshal, you. The most special of the special forces, tasked with maintaining...
13w ago - Today Brian Fleming at Sucker Punch Productions has announced that InFamous: Second Son is coming for Sony's new PlayStation 4 / PS4 console alongside a video trailer below.
To quote: So what's new? I mean, what have you been up to? Cool. Us? Not much. Just a new character, new city, new powers, and all designed especially for the new PlayStation 4.
I hope you're excited - because we really are! Actually, for us it's probably one part excitement and one part pure terror, but that's just the way of things I guess...
But here we are at last to break the months of silence: All of us at Sucker Punch are very pleased to introduce you to Delsin Rowe, and our new title Second Son! Let's cut to the chase!
Delsin Rowe is the star of Second Son, and you probably know someone like him: A 24 year-old who is absolutely convinced he's destined for greatness; though so far that greatness has managed to elude him. He grew up just outside Seattle, where his great - if accidental - calling comes crashing into his life.
After rescuing occupants from a fiery bus wreck, he discovers that he suddenly has the ability to direct, manipulate and even transform into... Smoke. Could he have absorbed this power...
78w ago - To follow-up on the previous article where Sony PlayStation 3 hacker KaKaRoToKS stated "A solution for 3.60+ will be available soon, so no worries - people just need to be patient" comes some more Tweets today on JailBreaking 3.73 PS3 Firmware.
Below are some of the recent announcement Tweets from KaKaRoToKS on JailBreaking PS3 3.73 Firmware, as follows:
I will reply.. but I didn't read... yes, file managers and FTP should work fine.
and I'm all for competition, no worries. I do this for fun, not for race or whatever. Also, 3.73 cfw is not possible
i dont know yet about emulators... All in good time. There s no rush
yes, that's the point, to run homebrew.. showtime should work fine. not tested yet.
Nope, completely software based.. I won't say anything more than that for now to avoid them blocking it before release.
The "kind of" meant I need to fix NPDRM algo for it to run. And no, this will not allow backup managers. And no, it's not a CFW
1 - I won't share it until it's ready to use (still a bit complicated + some missing components), 2 - don't update if...
130w ago - Today HKKory has shared a video of what he calls a PlayStation Move demo disc exploit via PS3 JailBreak, however, as PSGroove points out the console is already JailBroken so this isn't really an exploit and won't likely lead to anything.
To quote: "The PS3 homebrew news has seemed to slow down, a lot. So I thought I would start making some news. I noticed the demo disc that came with my move, runs off the XMB, and installs demos.
I pondered if the same method could be used for homebrew, or whatever. I backed it up with my manager, and looked in the files. I realized the installs were DATA000.PKG so I renamed a emulator to that, copied it over to move folder, and installed it.
Now I'm not a coder, so I would like to turn this news over to anyone that could make some use of it to further our efforts. But please, remember to credit me, if you work further upon this discovery.
Here are the details:
• Back up Move Demo Disc (10GB)
• Select Install Disc
• Make sure a Disc is in the Drive
• Open Your File Manager
• Open Dev0HD
• Go to folder with rips
• Navigate to BCUS-98263
• D001 - D012 have the pkg files.
• Rename desired .pkg to DATA000.PKG (USE CAPITALS ON THE .PKG)
130w ago - Today Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 is making its rounds on the Internet by release group DComics, while PS3 JailBreak users are working on how to get it running without updating the PlayStation 3 console to 3.50 Firmware as required by the title.
The full US release name is Gran.Turismo.5.PS3-DComics and the game weighs in at 19.4GB (20,882,698,502 bytes) in size unpacked for those wondering (packed at 19515.8MB), with the leaked European version coming in at 13.72GB in size.
According to the NFO File, the following important note states: "To play the game you need to spoof your fw as 3.5 with one of the payloads available in net."
There is also now another scene release named Gran.Turismo.5.EUR.JB.PS3-PEMA in which the NFO File states the following: "Spoofed firmware 3.5 required" and under Install Notes: "Unrar files and copy gamedir dir to external harddrive or use some PS3 FTP server. Files must be placed in the GAMEZ folder."
Although there have been a few reports of it working they are unconfirmed thus far, with most currently reporting getting a black screen...
