Sucker Punch: Let's Play InFamous Festival of Blood on PlayStation 3

50°
8h ago - Sucker Punch's Billy Harper invites PS3 fans to play InFamous Festival of Blood on PlayStation 3 this Halloween night!

To quote: Happy Halloween, everyone! Halloween happens to fall on a Friday this year, and to celebrate the kickoff of a Halloween weekend the SuckerPunch developers will host a special Twitch treat.

Three years ago, after inFAMOUS 2 shipped, we looked at the calendar and realized we had the perfect window to do something really fun... a Halloween themed inFAMOUS DLC!

That's when Festival of Blood came to life as a tall tale Zeke Dunbar rattles off in a bar to impress a lady patron. His tale follows Cole McGrath on a quest through the streets and grave yards of New Marais. Cole is racing against the clock to kill the vampire that bit him before he turns into a child of the night forever.

Festival of Blood is one of our favorites, so we'd like to invite you to join us as we take a walk down memory lane this Halloween.

[Register or Login to view links] and watch Jason Connell, Jason Stansell, and Billy Harper play inFAMOUS Festival of Blood with you and give you all the juicy details behind the game!

If you haven't played it yet, inFAMOUS Festival of Blood is available...

Final Fantasy XIV Q&A: Headed Heavensward on PlayStation 4

50°
8h ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill posted up a Final Fantasy XIV Q&A dubbed Headed Heavensward on PlayStation 4 (and PlayStation 3) today with details below.

To quote: It's a good time to be an Eorzean. Final Fantasy XIV patch 2.4, Dreams of Ice, has just released, adding new dungeons, the rogue class and ninja job, a new primal battle with long-standing series summon Shiva, The Final Coil of Bahamut - the third and final chapter of FFXIV's ultimate end-game raid, and countless other tweaks and new features.

Square Enix also just announced FFXIV 3.0 Heavensward, a whole new expansion that will add way too much content for me to list in an opening paragraph. Well okay, a few highlights: Dark Knight class! New areas and primals! New playable race! Flying Chocobos and single-rider airships! That's all coming in Spring 2015.

Finally, fans worldwide have had the chance to attend the first-ever FFXIV Fan Festival - recently held in Las Vegas and London, with an upcoming stop in Tokyo. I attended the first of these events, and had the great pleasure of sitting down with Naoki Yoshida (Yoshi-P to his friends and fans), the producer and director of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Naoki Yoshida: Thank you so much for taking time to come to the Final Fantasy XIV...

P.T. on PlayStation 4: Survival Tips for Konami's PS4 Horror Hit

100°
9h ago - Konami Community Manager Su-Yina Farmer shared some PlayStation 4 survival tips today for Konami's PS4 horror hit P.T. below.

To quote: Forget the pumpkin spice lattes, Halloween is all about scaring the bejesus out of yourself and those around you.

So what better way to celebrate than turning the lights off, grabbing a headset or turning up your surround system (essential for the full immersive experience) and starting up P.T. - it's free to download on PS Store!

Sure, you can watch the countless videos populating the Internet of horrified gamers, but there's nothing more satisfying than completing the game yourself and obtaining that 'I Played P.T. to the End and Survived' kudos. It's an experience you won't forget.

If you're too terrified to try P.T. out, or have dipped your toe into the game but need a bit of guidance, let me hold your hand and give you a few hints and tips!

Firstly, you'll notice that P.T. plays in a loop: you'll visit the same corridor, but each time something will be different.

You should take the time to inspect and interact with everything: pictures on the walls, items on the floor. Listen closely and pay attention, the devil is in the details after all. Did a door just open? And don't forget to look up...

550°
1d ago - Following Sony's PS4 Firmware 2.00 release and his previous update, today PlayStation 4 hacker SKFU shared a quick review on PS4 Firmware 2.00 discussing the importance of PS4 System TitleIDs.

To quote: It took a while until I found some spare time to check firmware 2.00 for the PlayStation4, but it was worth it!

First I'll show you two funny screenshots from my PS4 (below)

  • I told you the TitleID research is important, didn't I?
  • NPXS20993

So yes, I could finally access the ★Debug Settings on a retail console. But no, we can not use it
Sony learned their lesson and removed the back-end so this is not very useful for us.
Maybe there is a way to unlock it's full potential, but I could not find it, yet.

Here I explained how to start...
