Namco Announces One Piece Unlimited World Red Out Today on PS3

50°
8w ago - Bandai Namco Games America Inc Associate PR Specialist Grace Liu announced that One Piece Unlimited World Red is out today on PS3.

Below are the details, to quote: Yo ho ho! It's time to join the rambunctious Straw Hat Pirates on their grand adventures in One Piece Unlimited World Red on PS3. PS Vita owners can look forward to a portable version next week!

In Unlimited World Red, you'll encounter two new faces in the One Piece saga - Pato, a sassy raccoon-dog who befriends the Straw Hat Crew, and The Red Count, a frighteningly powerful pirate with a malicious agenda.

One Piece fans will be pleased to know that both these characters were created by Eiichiro Oda, the legendary author of One Piece. Will they have mysterious powers? Check. Strong personalities? Check. Quirky laugh? Nukiki!

But what's a pirate life without crewmates? Take on the adventure in local co-op play to explore the vibrant islands and engage in flashy battles with trusty friends at your side.

Enter the Battle Coliseum, a bone-crushing new mode that was not included in last year's original Japanese release. Based on the most up-to-date story arc in the manga and anime series, Battle Coliseum Mode will let you choose from many powerful pirates and marines to duke it out in the arena.

59w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman announced today alongside a video that Bid for Greatness has opened, and he is encouraging fans to own a piece of PlayStation history!

To quote: You know that [Register or Login to view links], but did you know that you can bid on it?

Today sees the launch of [Register or Login to view links], a one-of-a-kind auction house showcasing ultra-rare PlayStation memorabilia seen in PlayStation's Greatness Awaits brand film during E3. If you win a bid, you'll be the owner of an exclusive, real-life piece of PlayStation history.

Here's how it works: You'll log into BidForGreatness.com using your PSN ID. The site will tally all of your hard-earned Gold Trophies, and you'll use them to bid on 15 unique items (don't worry, you'll keep the actual Trophies associated with your PSN ID).

You'll bid on the items you want using Gold Trophies and skip the ones you don't. Each day will see a new item go up for bid for just 24 hours, so be sure to check back often!

Of course, you'll want to think strategically. Spend all your Gold Trophies in one shot to try and score your dream item, or split your proceeds and go for several? The choice is yours. And the best part is, if you're short...

105w ago - Namco Bandai EMEA Community Manager Anthony Grabit has shared some fresh video footage today spotlighting One Piece: Pirate Warriors alongside an announcement of a Grand Treasure Hunt below!

To quote: Ahoy there, warriors of the seas! Luffy and the Strawhats are on their way to kick some serious pirate butt on 21st September in One Piece: Pirate Warriors!

Unfamiliar with the title? It's an exhilarating action game that lets you play with the whole Strawhat crew, as well as extra guests, and faithfully experience the grand One Piece story.

It's also the first game based on the One Piece anime series to be released on PlayStation 3.

The huge story mode can be enjoyed solo or you can play co-op with a friend using the PlayStation Network. You'll battle your way through hordes of marines and pirates and fight mighty bosses pulled straight from the anime series.

When not battling, you'll visit beautiful and exotic islands looking for 100 special coins to power up your stats and get new awesome and effective abilities.

Get a taste of One Piece: Pirate Warriors with this new video showing the confrontation between Zoro and Mihawk. The action takes place in Baratie and shows a fight between the two best swordsmen from the One Piece universe.

Video: One Piece: Pirate Warriors is Brawling Exclusively on PS3

250°
124w ago - Sony Correspondent Andy Burt has shared some video footage below today of One Piece: Pirate Warriors which will be brawling exclusively on the PS3 entertainment system later this year.

To quote: "One Piece" is a household name in Japan, where the mangas and anime series are among the most popular series of all time.

The series follows Monkey D. Luffy, a seafaring pirate in search of treasure on the high seas, who possesses the strange ability to stretch his limbs to cartoonish lengths after eating a mysterious fruit.

While only a handful of the games created in the One Piece universe have seen releases Stateside, the release of PS3-exclusive One Piece: Pirate Warriors sees the series return to the US.

I recently went hands-on with a Japanese build of the game at Namco Bandai's Gamers Day, checking out Pirate Warriors' brawler-based gameplay and over-the-top anime antics.

Pirate Warriors embraces the combat stylings of the Dynasty Warriors series, pitting series protagonist Monkey and a number of other playable characters against wave upon wave of enemies; the playable demo Namco had on-hand showed off the impressive number of enemies the game can display at any given time.
