Video: Joe Danger for PS3 is Coming Soon to PSN Store

50°
220w ago - On this Memorial Day the Managing Director of Hello Games Sean Murray has announced that Joe Danger for PS3 is coming soon to PSN Store alongside a PlayStation 3 video trailer.

To quote: It's even more exciting to be able to announce that Joe Danger, the PS3-exclusive title that allows you to fulfill your daredevil fantasies, will launch on PSN June 8th!

I can't describe what it feels like to see our own game actually hit the PlayStation Store. My three friends and I at [Register or Login to view links] couldn't be more nervous and giddy.

We barely slept for the last few months, trying to get the game finished and polished. I doubt we'll sleep for a month more, trying to stay on top of the leaderboards.

What I really can't wait for is the surprises we have in store for PS3 gamers. This has been a total labor of love for us, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what people think of the game.

Stunt, Create and Share

Creating levels in Joe Danger is as fast and fun as playing the game itself. In fact, you never leave the game! As you ride through your level, press Edit at any time to freeze the world and play about with it however you want. You can drop a ramp then...

European PlayStation Store Update for May 26, 2010

50°
221w ago - Today Mike Kebby of the SCEE PlayStation Store Team has posted up this weeks European PlayStation Store update, as follows:

The first of the new games I want to highlight this week is Fret Nice, which takes the world of guitar based rock and platforming gameplay mechanics and combines them into a side-scrolling game...intriguing no?

Moving on, we have the sequel to Soldner-X: Himmelssturmer, this time with an easier to pronounce title too; Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype.

This game features masses of enemies, an arsenal of explosive weaponry, and looks pretty gorgeous too, it's also a great reminder of the old-school side-scrolling shooters of yesteryear too (what is it with side-scrolling games this week?).

For those of you who have bought the Sam and Max bundle, then Episode 2: The Tomb of Sammun-Mak (catchy title huh, did you see what they did there?) is available this week too.

I'm sure there will be many of you who have not had enough Final Fantasy in your life recently, so we're pleased to say that the PSone release of Final Fantasy IX also hits the store today!

As mentioned on the blog earlier this week, we have the madcap mini Feel For Two available this week, and what's there not to love about a game that features mini-games with...

50°
222w ago - Sony's Manager of Content Services Nino Kalogeropoulos has shared details of Australia's new PSN video store today alongside highlights of the exclusive OZ community event.

To quote: A special community event entitled 'PlayStation Life in 2010′ was held on May 18th at an exclusive location at Sydney's Coogee Beach, to usher in the arrival of the PlayStation Network video delivery service for Australia. Yay!

Now available, the PS Video Store allows Aussie PS3 and PSP owners to rent or buy hundreds of SD and HD movies, including the latest releases like Avatar, Inglourious Basterds, Up In The Air, Ninja Assassin, Sherlock Holmes, and Twilight New Moon.

New movies will be added to the Store on a weekly basis for the movie junkies in us all, and you can browse the available movies right [Register or Login to view links] on the new PS Movies Web area.

Hollywood Actress Radha Mitchell (star of the recent film 'The Surrogates' alongside Bruce Willis) was a special guest at the event, along with Alison Turner, the Marketing Director of Sony Network Entertainment, and Michael Ephraim, Managing Director of Sony Computer Entertainment Australia.

But the PS Video store isn't the only product that was experienced at this exclusive...

222w ago - SCEE's Mike Kebby of the PlayStation Store Team is here with this weeks European PSN update today, as follows:

I bring you salutations of the day, and lots of ModNation Racers goodies!

Not only does the PSP version of the game appear on the store, but we have demos for the PS3 and PSP versions, as well as the Van Man Mod and Kart pack for PS3. There really is no excuse this week not to try your hand at this great mix of sublime kart racing, and the deep creation tools at your disposal.

Of course, there's other content available on the store this week. For PSP users there are a further two games available, featuring princes and mech-suits, though not combined, as well as more content for Buzz! and LittleBigPlanet.

Also, our friends at [Register or Login to view links] release their mini title Coconut Dodge onto the store too, if you haven't heard of this already, you could do far worse than reading the three part series they've written here on the blog.

For the full list, you know what to do; have a butchers' further down this post. (Some of you may want to take note of the additional territory releases section at the bottom of the post too).
