PSXStore Arrives - Download Demos Without Going Through PSN

221w ago - Today Bhaal at PS3-Addict.fr (linked above) reports that DemonHades has [Register or Login to view links] a Beta of [Register or Login to view links], which allows users to download PSN demos without going through PlayStation Network.

This is a essentially a follow-up to his previous Open PStore project that was first announced a few months back.

To quote, roughly translated: "As you know long ago our community was proposed in the Open PStore, a project which I unlink seeing the little / no care of their visual system, that is why we see this new project, I felt comfortable visual menu and care of every detail.

The organization is a remarkable point, the refresh rate and speed of access of content make this new system quick and easy way to have the latest without having to upgrade to 3.50.

We also have to say for the moment only has demos of retail games, not homebrew, so it is still that... a copy of Sony's PSN."

European PSN Game Store Update for November 3, 2010

221w ago - Today SCEE's Ross McGrath of the PlayStation Store Team has posted up the European PSN Game Store Update for November 3, 2010.

To quote: There is an absolute Kratos overload this week, so if you're a fan of the angriest man in videogames you've got a lot to choose from. Oh, and there's Castle Crashers, so you can stop asking me when it's coming now.

So instead of the usual content discussion, here's a quick status update to let you know that your feedback is being acted upon since last week:

A few of the PSOne Classics from the list of PSOne title requests that you helped me to compile have been submitted for Store publish.

The process to get them emulated is underway and barring any technical or legal issues they will be published on the EU Store, hopefully before year end. I'm sure you'll hear from various publishers closer to release, but I'm not able to discuss what they are at the moment (just like all upcoming content).

This week as usual, the trial and unlocks do not go to Germany. We are currently organising full retail releases of these titles for the German consumers and those will be added to the German Store as soon as possible - in next week's publish at the latest and hopefully sooner.

As a result of your feedback...

223w ago - SCEE's Ross McGrath of the PlayStation Store Team has outlined this weeks European PSN updates today, as follows:

You've probably already downloaded Undead Nightmare, and if not then you really should - the chance to play another brand-new chunk of story from the sublime Red Dead Redemption should be reason enough, even without the promise of hordes of zombies to run down in your little red wagon.

Don't forget, if you've been holding out on grabbing all the Red Dead DLC, then the perfect chance has arrived in the shape of the Undead Collection, which also includes the 'Liars and Cheats' and 'Legends and Killers' packs at a cut down price.

No fewer than four demos for you this week - of course we have Time Crisis: Razing Storm for you Move owners, as well as NFS: Hot Pursuit, FOTNS: Ken's Rage and the intriguing and quite charming Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom.

Continuing the zombie theme we've got the Sports Fan Skill Pack for Dead Rising 2 up for grabs - it's a good one too, wearing the costume means your run speed really increases, which helps you dodge those nasty infected and for a bit of extra crowd control ability, try holding an American Football.

For your handhelds this week we've got Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, a really...

European PSN Game Store Updates for October 20, 2010

224w ago - SCEE PlayStation Store Manager Mike Kebby is here with this weeks European PSN game store updates today, as follows:

This week's update is going to be a bit different to previous weeks; it'll be a bit more personal than usual... though I'll go into more detail after discussing this week's content.

Tim Schafer's latest creation Costume Quest hits the store this week, and it's the perfect title for unleashing your inner child and embracing Halloween with pure unadulterated joy (that you would usually get scorned for as an adult).

No matter how I try and describe this title I'll most likely do it a disservice, so just check it out and make up your own mind (Ed: you could also watch the video interview with Tim and Tasha Harris here).

Swords and Soliders also joins the ranks this week, and any game that can say (taken straight from the marketing material) "blend ninja monkeys, attacking Aztecs and brutal Vikings with everything you love about real time strategy games and you've got Swords and Soldiers" must be worth a look, right?

Not only does this game have local and online multiplayer, it also supports 3D too, so definitely something for you with swanky 3D TVs to be taking a look at.

The rest of the content is, as ever, listed...
