While your PSP may still be hot from [Register or Login to view links], you should definitely add The 3rd Birthday to your "play" list.

It has all of the makings of a game that ensures my PSP is rarely idle: Awesome graphics, gameplay that's gets as deep as I want it to be, teleporting ("overdive" system), plus I love games that get the shooting mechanics right on a PSP.

Hope you have as much fun as I predict I will!

A few quick bits of info and then onto the gorgeous launch trailer!

• A true action-RPG hybrid: Resist the Twisted's vicious onslaught in a third-person shooter, with a heavy dose of character progression and customization.
• Strategic gameplay: The new Overdive System gives players a tactical advantage as they make split-second decisions on the battlefield.
• All-star production staff: Including producer Yoshinori Kitase (Final Fantasy series), director...

Slam Bolt Scrappers is Available Today on PlayStation Network

175w ago - Creative Director Eitan Glinert at Fire Hose Games has announced that Slam Bolt Scrappers is available today on PlayStation Network.

To quote: Slam Bolt Scrappers is available today in the PlayStation Network store!

You can start scrapping right now with the full version for $14.99 or introduce yourself to this epic mash-up of brawling and building with the FREE DEMO. Let the celebratory slamming begin!

In Slam Bolt Scrappers (SBS to the cool kids) you race to combine colored blocks into squares of the same color. Build big colored squares and they form weapons that automatically attack your enemy's tower. The player with the last tower standing wins!

It sounds simple enough, but once you throw in jetpack fueled flight, punching baddies, stealing blocks, awesome power-ups of awesomeness, and fun button-mashing brawling you'll quickly realize how gloriously chaotic our game can be. Both the epic battle mode and crazy campaign can be played with one to four players, making this the perfect game for some rocking party time action.

So, PS3 owners, if you have any interest at all in beat-em-up games, puzzlers, or fun, you owe it to yourself to play some SBS - the ultimate combination of brawling and building. It also makes you a cooler person, but I know...

PixelJunk Shooter 2 Hits PSN Today with New Online Battle Mode

50°
177w ago - Q-Games Ltd President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert has confirmed that PixelJunk Shooter 2 hits PSN today with a new Online Battle Mode.

To quote: The sequel to the technically and critically acclaimed PixelJunk Shooter will be with us later today!

It continues where the original left off, leaving you trapped in the deep dark bowels of an enormous alien entity.

Fight through the backwash and encounter the weird and terrible monsters that are living in the alien's gut, force your way through putrid stomach acid and strange slippery bubbly stuff, and be totally grossed out by thousands of iddy-biddy insects that come pouring out of strange pulsating larvae when you mix water with it.

Yes, this is a game you probably want to avoid playing immediately after eating, and you might feel a little queasy the next time you are staring down Sparrow-on-a-stick (a Kyoto traditional cruisine).

But wait... PixelJunk Shooter 2 isn't all about dieting and worm control! It has vast new worlds to explore that aren't part of an organism's digestive track, and new technologies too, such as the Hungry Suit and the Light Suit and a whole load more.

Use the new R3 spin-attack to wipe out chains of enemies at a time and revel in the destructive mayhem...
