234w ago - Guerrilla Games Producer Sebastian Downie has announced that the Killzone 2 Flash & Thunder Map Pack will be available today for PlayStation 3.
To quote: With the release of the second Killzone 2 downloadable content pack "Flash & Thunder" on PlayStation Store today, we have been able to uncover Helghast documentation on their movements in the newest maps: Southern Hills and Beachhead.
These two maps might be familiar to veterans of the first Killzone on PS2, but they have been completely reworked and re-imagined to suit the PLAYSTATION 3 experience. With that in mind, here's a report from the frontlines on how to survive the Southern Hills and nuclear attack!
Helghast Field Manual 15: Surviving the Southern Hills
The treacherous ISA forces have resorted to using nuclear devices in their futile efforts to invade our beloved home-planet of Helghan. This cowardly act will not go unpunished and the Helghast High Command training corps has prepared a field manual to ensure its loyal soldiers do not die in vain. Read the below carefully as it could be the difference between your survival of a nuclear attack and turning into a burning corpse.

234w ago - PopCap Games Associate Producer Michael Santora stopped by the PlayStation Blog today to announce news that Heavy Weapon will be hitting PSN today.
To quote: Having grown up on classic arcade shooters and original game consoles, Heavy Weapon holds a special place in my heart. It's a true shooter game that always reminds me of my youth, pumping quarters into machines at the local arcade.
Heavy Weapon was originally developed on the PC for Windows, but it's now found a home on the PLAYSTATION 3. The DUALSHOCK analog sticks give moving & shooting in independent directions a more arcade-like feel. Playing survival mode online or locally with your friends is a great way to earn the "Survive 12 Minutes" PS3 Trophy.
Multiplayer mode lets you play with up to 3 other people so you can play with old friends or new ones!
Heavy Weapon fans can enjoy a new feature created exclusively for the PS3, which is the ability to shoot down and destroy the supply helicopter as it delivers power ups to you. It makes some of the later levels a bit more challenging since you have to pay more attention to your allies while you're shooting down everything else in the sky.
That's all for now. We're working on bringing you Peggle...
237w ago - Today Nao Zook, the PR/Marketing Coordinator of NIS America, Inc has announced that Cross Edge hit the PS3 console.
To quote: As of today (May 26th), Cross Edge has officially been released!
Cross Edge is a dream-come-true RPG for hardcore gamers. It is the first RPG on PLAYSTATION 3 that has 5 different companies collaborating for one incredible adventure!
You'll see some familiar faces from Darkstalkers (Capcom); Disgaea (Nippon Ichi Software); Ar tonelico (Bandai Namco); Atelier Marie and Mana Khemia 2 (Gust); and Spectral Souls (Idea Factory). And all the characters are playable. Isn't that cool?
You can also collect costumes for all the different characters, and their stats and abilities will change depending on which costume they are wearing.
And when you change costumes on female characters, their appearance will also change! It's really cute! If you are into these characters, Cross Edge is a must-have!
I would also like to talk a bit about the battle system. Cross Edge has a unique hybrid battle system that combines a classic RPG setup with an intuitive grid-based SRPG style.
In battle, a square grid will appear beneath the units, and players can move their characters...
237w ago - SCEA Sr. Producer Frank Simon has announced that Secret Agent Clank is sneaking onto Sony's PS2 console today.
To quote: Just wanted to let you know to look for Secret Agent Clank on the store shelves beginning today! Sanzaru Games did a fantastic job of bringing this game to the PS2 adding and increasing textures, geometry and just raw numbers of models to make a more beautiful, richer game experience. Characters and the animation for them were rebuilt and augmented.
Couple this with an all new camera system, customized controls for the DualShock 2 and a whole lot of additional polish and love from the team and you end up with a really great game.
You might ask yourself, why bring PSP games to the PS2? The answer we'd tell you is there are a lot of folk out there that are still hungry for content. We believe Secret Agent Clank will deliver this. Sanzaru did a fantastic job of really customizing the experience for the PS2. They went in and rebuilt whole sections of the game in order provide for a deeper richer experience.
Even with all this change, we kept the fantastic game that High Impact Games put together for the PSP, just now taking advantage of everything the PS2 has to offer.
