PlayStation HOME To Be Demoed At OGC 2008

50°
338w ago - Sony has kept relatively mum on the subject of HOME as of late, but that looks to be changing soon.

On March 14, Sony will deliver a presentation on its upcoming PlayStation HOME service at the Online Game & Community Service Conference (OGC) in Japan.

Aside from the fact that HOME will be there, specific details on what exactly will be shown during the event are nonexistent at this point.

Expect to hear more by next week!

Confirmed: PlayStation Store Redesign Coming In April

300°
339w ago - The PlayStation Store will be receiving a makeover this April, according to SCEA's director of product development John Hight.

Hight notes that numerous changes will be made to the client interface of the store, based largely on customer feedback. Expect a more clean-cut, simplified look.

We give them a lot of feedback based on how our customers are reacting to things, and I think you will see a pretty big change in the PlayStation Network in the early part of April, where we roll out some new interface stuff largely based on customer feedback.

Simplification, cutting down on the number of mouse clicks, making it easier to find stuff that you want to find... that's kind of an outgrowth of us having more content now, so we have to make sure that you can get at it easily.

On a side note, Hight mentioned that we could see Japanese PSOne titles on PSN in the near future, similar to how Nintendo offers foreign games through its Wii Virtual Console service.

PlayStation Home Virtual PSP Screens available!

50°
339w ago - Some screens of the Virtual PSP that is used by your character to control Home have been revealed.

To quote: Today, dear readers, we present the fourth batch of Home screens - exclusive ones at that.

Feast your eyes on the virtual PSP. Nice Wallpapers, huh? Hope they release some of them for download on the PSN - the orange controller one is super-sweet.

For those of you that don't know, you control Home by using a virtual PSP that you character keeps in their pocket.... Watch PSP sales rocket when Home comes out - only for someone to sue Sony because they can't teleport to a friends house with it, or use it to change their sofa.

God of War III Coming Soon To PlayStation 3

550°
339w ago - God of War III is now officially "coming soon" to the PlayStation 3.

The back side of the God of War: Chains of Olympus instruction booklet displays the series trademark omega symbol with "PS3″ stamped right in the middle. Under that is a small caption which reads "Coming Soon" in bold letters.

How soon? We don't know! Our guess is good as yours.

However, we suspect Sony has a different interpretation of the phrase "coming soon," as all signs currently point to a 2009 release for God of War III.

Hopefully that's not the case. Hopefully, GoW III will be released this year.
