234w ago - Speaking on the company's official forum, developer Ubisoft stated, "Splinter Cell Conviction is a true Microsoft exclusive title and there are no plans to have Splinter Cell Conviction on other platforms."
The firm elaborated on the decision to remain exclusive to 360, describing the Splinter Cell franchise as being 'historically linked' with Microsoft consoles beginning with the original title in 2002.
To quote: "There are several reasons behind this choice. First of all, Splinter Cell games are historically linked with Microsoft platforms.
The first Splinter Cell on the original Xbox was one of the first games to fully exploit the console's technical possibilities," added the company.
"At that time, Microsoft really believed in the game potential and provided strong support to promote it. So, there is a "link of heart" between the franchise and the platform. Some games are like this (think of Final Fantasy for instance)."
"The second reason behind this choice is purely linked to production. Having a single target platform means that we can optimize the game even further, because we only have one type of - console - hardware to support."
238w ago - Today Keita Takahashi of Namco Bandai Games has announced that Noby Noby Boy v1.1 is available via PlayStation Network.
To quote: Finally, the updated 1.1 version is ready (available now on PSN). Honestly, debugging it was hard for multiplayer as it was a hotbed for bugs.
So, if you run into a bug or two, please laugh that off. Since there are more silly updates aside from multiplay, I hope everyone has fun with the game as a whole. By looking at the number of WEBWEBBOY, however, a lot of people don't seem to have noticed the updates. They may be playing something else and not know about them. But I do wonder when GIRL will reach Mars.
So now FARTBOY is audible. As it says names of the excreted in Japanese and English in a random manner, it's perfect for 2 to 3-year-olds to study languages.
Wouldn't it be interesting to have it encompass entire languages, like excreting with a certain button held lets it speak a German word, etc? This feature may not mean much, but I think it'll be fun to perfect this spec.
Also, there is a hidden function in the game called SYNCHROBOY that people might not know about; it's not even in the manual.
I expected that people would notice by now, but I feel like...
245w ago - The producer of Final Fantasy XIII recently stated that the game will utilize almost 100 percent of the power of the PS3. This statement has gotten a few sites questioning the quality of the Xbox 360 version. Most likely it won't be the quality that suffers but the convenience factor.
According to Kotaku, Yoshinori Kitase stated in a recent interview for Dengeki Playstation 3, that Final Fantasy XIII will utilize almost 100 percent of the power of the PS3. He also claimed that the demo will utilize 50 percent of the PS3's power. The Final Fantasy XIII demo will be hitting Japan in April. The demo will be out in the States sometime in June.
Some have questioned if the Xbox 360 version will suffer in quality. I have to say it sounds a bit like hype. How can the demo use 50 percent of the PS3's power while the full version uses 100 percent? Does that even make sense from a technical standpoint? It sounds like there may be some mistranslation there regarding the power of the PS3 versus disc space utilization.
I am betting that the main difference will be mostly related to disc swapping. The biggest...
