Toukiden: The Age of Demons is Out Today on PlayStation Vita

9w ago - KOEI Co Ltd Producer Kenichi Ogasawara announced that Toukiden: The Age of Demons is out today on PlayStation Vita.

To quote: Today's the day to become a Slayer and save the world from the Oni's destruction!

The most exciting aspect of Toukiden: The Age of Demons is the "targeted destruction system" where players can feel the exhilaration of severing parts of the Oni's body and destroying them. Players can choose from six different weapons, each with their own original attack methods and attributes.

Using powerful attacks to slash, thrust and crush parts of the enormous enemy, I think it might excite the natural instincts of players.

It is difficult to defeat the Oni, however, just by attacking them. By destroying parts of the Oni, the life energy that exists within them will be drawn to the surface. Attacking this life energy will truly damage the Oni.

However, Oni not only possess an enormous life force, they are able to regenerate parts that are cut off - and these regenerated parts become even more powerful.

The severed Oni parts that have fallen to the ground can be permanently destroyed through the Ritual of Purification, and this prevents the body part from being regenerated. Thus, in order to defeat the Oni, the destruction of body...

Moonbite Games Announces Zombeer is Out Today on PS3

50°
9w ago - Moonbite Games Creative Director Carlos Fernandez announced that Zombeer PS3 is out today on the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

To quote: What kind of game is Zombeer? That's not easy to answer... my favorite description for Zombeer, which launches today on PS3, would be "first-person-survival-horror-comedy-shooter."

When we started the design process, we had a clear vision for Zombeer. We wanted to show a zombie world with funny and crazy stories, full of tributes to our favourites games and feature films. All with gags, parodies, and - most importantly - no rules. The only limit was our indie budget, and that's been a very real limit.

One of our internal goals was to design a coherent game. So if the story is crazy, the graphics, gags, puzzles, quick time events, etc. have to be crazy, too. And of course this philosophy includes the basic gameplay.

In Zombeer, you must keep a high level of Zombeer in your blood. Because if you don't drink enough, the transformation will start; blurred view, a decrease in mental capabilities... yes, like a Monday morning. If you continue without a drink, you'll transform.

But it's not all bad, because if you're a zombie, the rest of the walkers won't attack you, so it's a good way to catch your breath, change positions,...

9w ago - NIS America Marketing Coordinator David Alonzo announced that Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is out today on PlayStation Vita.

To quote: Greetings, doods! It's David again from NIS America here to let you know that the much anticipated title Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is out today in retail and digital form exclusively on PS Vita! If you haven't heard, let me - wait a minute, who's there? What's that crazy looking bear doing here with that hamme.

Hey, kids! David's decided to take a little nap, but your headmaster Monokuma comes bearing some great news! Today's the first day of school for you at Hope's Peak Academy, my super-special, super-elite high school for the best of the best and, since someone's too lazy to do it, I guess I'll have to give you the grand tour of where you'll be trapped - I mean, staying for a while. The whole tour should be quick and painless, so get off your butts already and follow me!

First off, you'll be seeing things through the eyes of Makoto Naegi, who won a ticket into this most prestigious school and is the Ultimate Lucky Student - but that's debatable. Everyone here is the best at what they do, because I've got very high standards and I don't even know why you're here....

Red Barrels Announces Outlast is Out Today: Survival Horror on PS4

400°
10w ago - Red Barrels Co-Founder Philippe Morin announced that Outlast PS4 is officially out today bringing survival horror to PlayStation 4.

To quote: Hello gamers! I'm Philippe Morin, one of the co-founders of Red Barrels.

Our first game, Outlast, is coming to PS4 today, and I'm excited to share that those of you who are PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download it completely for free.

Outlast itself is a survival-horror game created by a team of 11 people with one common goal: to scare the *bleep* out of you.

Here's the story so far... In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, the facility was recently re-opened by the "research and charity" branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation.

Taking advantage of the Asylum's history and remote location, they've been operating in strict secrecy. That is, they were until the reporter arrived.

Acting on a tip from an anonymous source, independent journalist Miles Upshur has broken into the facility, and what he is about to discover inside will walk a terrifying line between science and religion, nature and something entirely other. Trapped with nightmares old and new, his only...
