168w ago - Ronimo Games Co-Founder and Game Designer Fabian Akker has posted up a video announcement today confirming that Swords & Soldiers is coming soon to PlayStation Network.
To quote: I'm here to tell you about our upcoming PlayStation Network game: Swords & Soldiers!
Swords & Soldiers is a side scrolling real time strategy game, in which three unique factions battle each other: the brutal Vikings, the devious Aztecs and the cunning Chinese, across 30 missions to reach a giant pepper.
Each faction has their own reasons to chase after this giant pepper. The Vikings want epic BBQ sauce, the Chinese child emperor wants the pepper's mind-bending powers and the Aztecs are trying to keep it so they can win the annual vegetable growing contest! During their campaigns you'll also unlock some leader board-enabled challenge modes to give you some more room to show off your skills.
We're also really excited to present a 3-D mode for Swords & Soldiers so that everyone can experience the game in another dimension.
So, a side scrolling strategy game, how does that work? Well basically it plays like a mix between an RTS and a fighting game. You build units and cast spells...
169w ago - Sony Senior Vice President Peter Dille of Marketing & PlayStation Network has revealed today alongside some fresh videos that PlayStation Move will be hitting homes in North America soon.
To quote: This is a particularly special week for the PlayStation brand. Today, we're celebrating the 15th anniversary of PlayStation in North America.
As someone who was here at SCEA on 9/9/95, I can honestly say that the same enthusiasm and commitment to delivering great entertainment still drives the brand forward.
Which brings me to why this next week will also be special - the launch of one of the most exciting new products of the year: PlayStation Move.
We've been gearing up for the big launch of PlayStation Move in stores across North America next week and over the course of the next few months you'll be hearing quite a bit about PlayStation Move on your TVs, online, at your favorite PlayStation retailer, at your local mall and on some of your favorite products.
Beginning next week "PlayStation Move Headquarters" stores will come to San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and Chicago and a larger scale mall tour will debut in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, DC and Chicago.

If you are already in the beta group, you will automatically be in, and the forum has now been re-opened, so come along and say hi."
173w ago - DoubleSix Senior Games Designer Ollie Barder has expanded on Top Gun PS3 details today, and stated it is coming soon to Sony's PlayStation Store.
To quote: Hello again! Since I spoke here last, the studio has been really busy with Top Gun - a new air combat game for the PlayStation Network based on the classic 80's film.
Needless to say it's been a lot of fun making this, as screeching across a blue sky in a F-14 Tomcat never gets old.
For those curious as to how we've tackled the game we went down a more arcade focused route for air combat, more so than other games in the genre. So instead of having to micromanage finite ammunition, stalling and the vagaries of an overly complex flight model, we've streamlined all that down and removed as many restrictions as we possibly could.
The reasoning behind this was so that the player would be able to focus on just enjoying the combat and shooting down planes with either guns or missiles. This means things like your health replenishes over time and your guns won't ever overheat. We wanted to give people the freedom to fly through a blue sky and basically get to feel...
174w ago - Today Mediatonic Co-Founder & Creative Director Paul Croft has revealed that Who's That Flying?! for PSP and PS3 is coming soon to PSN.
To quote: Mediatonic is a small indie games studio based in the UK. Earlier this year we released the PlayStation minis game Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess!.
Today, I'm super excited to reveal the first details of our brand new PlayStation minis title – Who's That Flying!? This summary from the games writer and producer Jim is a great overview on what you can expect:
You are the mysterious and powerful creature known only as the "Guardian of Earth." Your steely eye and HYPER-POWERED LASER ARM have kept the citizens of Earth safe for generations (as well as proving a hit with the ladies).
With all your awesome TALENT and FLAIR, surely it would be IMPOSSIBLE for a sudden and devastating invasion of colossal Doom Beasts to descend on your cities and cause havoc without your knowledge? (Even if you were MAYBE showboating for a magazine photo shoot at the time...)
Now, you must not only defend your cities from the ravenous hordes of Doom Beasts, you must defend yourself against accusations of gross incompetence from the Galactic Council of Justice! And this is all BEFORE...
