To quote: In February, we announced PS4. In June, we showed it for the first time. Next week, on November 15th, we unlock a new generation of play in North America.

Join PlayStation and Spike TV for the live PS4 All Access: Greatness Awaits launch event! We'll be live in New York City on November 14th starting at 11:00pm Eastern Time/Pacific Time on regular cable providers; and 11pm Eastern Time/8pm Pacific Time on DirecTV and streaming.

Video: Sony PlayStation 4 / PS4 Features Trailer is Now Available

24w ago - Today Sony released an official PlayStation 4 features trailer video spotlighting the various options implemented in the upcoming PS4 video gaming console.

The PS4 is set for release on November 15, 2013 in North America, November 29, 2013 in Europe and Australia and February 22, 2014 in Japan.

Finally, while the PS4 video below showcases the PlayStation 4 features available at launch, many including the following are still missing:

• No YouTube sharing
• No Bluetooth Headset
• No MP3's
• No DLNA's








Finally, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that the blue line of PlayStation 4 console is not paint but light which changes colors.

PS4 System Software Update 1.50 Details by Sony Now Available

25w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman shared details today on the upcoming PS4 System Software update 1.50 below that includes browser functionality, which will coincide with the North American PlayStation 4 launch day!

To quote: We wanted to shed some light on system software update version 1.50 for PS4, which will launch simultaneously with the system's official North American launch on November 15th, 2013. By updating to system software version 1.50, you'll be able to experience a variety of new features in addition to the basic functions of PS4.

The system software update 1.50 is approximately 300 MB, and will include the following features:

Remote Play

Users will be able to access PS4 titles displayed on their living room TVs and play them on a PS Vita system over Wi-Fi networks by using PS4 Link (Depending on network environment or titles, remote play performance may vary outside of the home).

We anticipate that most PS4 titles will be playable on the PS Vita system through Remote Play. The latest PS Vita system software version, to be released soon, will be required to use PS4 Link.

Users can use the PS4 Link application for the PS Vita system, and PlayStation App for iPhone, iPad, and Android-based...

Shortly after I heard the phrase "PlayStation 4" for the very first time, I received a blog post, a batch of screenshots and a trailer for a game called The Witness, from legendary game designer, Jonathan Blow. This was my first exposure to the impending next generation of video games.

My excitement for The Witness may, admittedly, be amplified by my sentimental nature (it is the first PS4 game I ever laid eyes on, after all). After getting a chance to play it at an event last week, however, I'm relieved to know that my excitement is justified.

Jonathan Blow helped to bring mainstream attention to the indie game development movement with his modern classic, Braid, which famously twisted the minds of gamers worldwide into knots. As such, it should be expected that the challenges you'll face in The Witness will put your mental capacity to the test.
