PS3 Bluetooth Headset is Going Slim, Same Price as Original

200°
198w ago - Similar to the PlayStation 3 Slim, today Kotaku.com (linked above) reports that the PS3 Bluetooth Headset is also going slim with the price remaining the same as the original model, later [Register or Login to view links] by Sony Peripherals Product Manager Anand Agarwal.

To quote: "A reader sent us this promo sleeve for the PlayStation 3 Bluetooth headset earlier this week, which now appears to be sporting a slimmer, sleeker design than the original model.

Not only has the ear clasp been made thinner, but the front buttons and indicators have been cleaned up too. The material also clearly states that this is an official Sony product, not a third-party offering.

The feature set on the back of the box has no new features compared to the existing version, so it appears to be a simple aesthetic upgrade for a device that was looking a little, well, clunky as we push on towards 2011.

As the box says, it'll be priced at $50, which is the same as the existing model."

100°
213w ago - Today online retailer [Register or Login to view links] has revealed what is purported to be the Resistance 3 PS3 setting, sample boxart (below) and a release date of March 24, 2011.

While there is no official confirmation yet from Sony nor Insomniac Games beyond the previously reported developer profile and gameplay survey, the setting of Resistance 3 for PlayStation 3 appears to be in New York based on the boxart logo which matches the Resistance 3 billboard and product description, as follows:

"Continue the fight against the Chimera invasion in Resistance 3, as the battle moves to New York City and humanity makes its final stand."

To quote: "The billboard for Resistance 3 gives a vague clue on the plot of the game. For Resistance 3, the A in the billboard clearly illustrates the Statue of Liberty, indicating New York City will be the game's primary setting.
