Dreamfall Chapters by Red Thread Games is Coming Soon to PS4

2w ago - Red Thread Games Creative Director Ragnar Tornquist announced today that Dreamfall Chapters is coming soon to PS4!

To quote: Hi everyone. My name is Ragnar Tornquist and I'm creative director at [Register or Login to view links] - the Norwegian indie studio working on Dreamfall Chapters; a Kickstarter-funded, story-driven episodic adventure coming soon to PS4.

We founded Red Thread in October 2012 in order to make what we call "games with soul" - mature, story-driven games with emotional and thematic depth, with heart... and soul.

In February 2013, we turned to Kickstarter with an initial goal of $850,000. One month later, we exceeded our wildest dreams by receiving almost twice that: an incredible $1.5 million! Through the amazing generosity and support of our fans, and with additional funding by the Norwegian Film Institute, we were finally able to begin work on our first game.

Dreamfall Chapters is a game about choice and consequence, about how the actions you take and the decisions you make - no matter how small or seemingly insignificant - touch the people around us, and how our lives in turn are shaped by the choices made by others.

It's also the continuation of a saga that began 15 years ago with The Longest Journey, a point-and-click...

Video: Behind the Scenes of The Last Tinker: City of Colors on PS4

2w ago - LOOT Entertainment Product Manager Jason Sorensen went behind the scenes today in a video of The Last Tinker: City of Colors on PS4 below.

To quote: PlayStation's embrace of indies is one of the most important developments in the gaming industry today. There are vast seas of awesome, innovative games that get made but then are completely overlooked and undiscovered - and PlayStation has neatly solved this.

Thanks to PlayStation, you can actually develop a really cool and innovative game, knowing that if it's well-made, it can be featured on the best damn gaming platform around.

And here at LOOT, we believe that The Last Tinker is something special. Judging from the vast majority of the comments our announcement post received last week, it looks like you guys feel the same way. Which is AWESOME. Do you know how good it feels when you announce a game and people are like, "I can't wait to play this!"

It feels like you just won a wrestling match with a grizzly bear inside a nuclear submarine and there's Megan Fox and all of a sudden Morgan Freeman is narrating in the background. That's how awesome it feels. So thank you guys for that.

As a result of your feedback, we've reached out to the...

PS4 Firmware 2.00 Will Fix Webkit Bug Says PlayStation 4 Hacker Nas

300°
3w ago - Following up on Sony's official announcement and recent hints of PS4 System Software Update 2.00, today PlayStation 4 hacker nas stated the upcoming PS4 Firmware 2.00 Update will fix a potentially useful Webkit bug for developers although it's not related to the recent Nintendo Wii U Browser Exploit.

Below are the details, to quote: PS4 FW 2.00 will fix Webkit Bug

The upcoming firmware update for PS4 will fix a "useful" bug in Sony's browser. Useful as in "useful for people who have some x64 reversing skills".

Muchas gracias to Proxima

Yes, its not related to the bug used to exploit the Wii U.

Finally, from Zecoxao: my best guess will be that everyone will be looking for said bug now, seeing as they can downgrade if they have the dump from previous firmwares.
